News of Cagney

Had a visit from Cagney's Dad's daughter and her husband, They told us that he is so happy and spoiled it is not funny. He has never pottied in the house and is his Dad's constant companion. They go everywhere together and spend hours sitting on the patio together watching the world go by. What a wonderful ending for Cagney, His new name is Poncho after Mr Mark's long ago little dog who he looks like. Poncho is fine with him. Just so he is loved he could care less what he is called. He is one lucky little dog. He is so very loved.

I sleep with Mom & Dad now.

My Foster Dad is just crazy about me. He lets me sleep with him and Mom now. I'm the only dog out of the 7 here that sleeps with them. hehehe I get under the covers and I stay still and sleep all night there. Mom says I don't bother her so I can stay in their people bed. I love the big people bed. It's so comfy and they have a heated pad so when it's cold they turn it on an OHhhhhh it's awesome. I think Dad wants to keep me. I don't know if they will adopt me but I am here for now and I am happy.

I'm not going anywhere for now.

I was taken to PetsMart today. I spent the afternoon there. I was so tired. I didn't want to be on the floor. Mom put me in a pen and some kids came by and played with me. Now that was real fun. I like kids. I didn't like the other dogs there though. I barked and fussed at them all. The humans laughed at me. They said it is a good thing I am not a big dog. BUT I am a big dog! I'm a real big boy and I can be the boss. Well Mom and Dad held me most of the time I was there. I love that. Lots of people looked at me and said I am cute but nobody was looking for a dog like me so Mom and Dad brought me home with them. That's fine with me. I could stay here furever.

It's COLD!

Mom took me out to potty this morning and it was sooooo cold. The wind is blowing and there is rain too. It turned real cold last night so I hurried to take care of my potty needs. Then Mom picked me up and wrapped me in her robe and laughed and kissed me. She's so funny. She said I was a "puppy freeze pop" and as sweet as one too. Hummmm what the heck is a freeze pop? Does Purina make that? I'm staying inside where it's nice and warm. I'm taking a nap with Dad in his recliner after lunch. I'm going to watch Mom fix dinner later. I have a busy day planned.

I'm OK

My Mom has not come for me. Did she forget me? Maybe she does not want me anymore. I feel so sad when I think like that. I try not to be sad but...

The lady is real nice to me. She feeds me good food and I have plenty of water to drink. She has lots of soft bedding in my crate. She takes me out often to potty. She takes me out just to hold me and she talks to me a lot. She said I am too small to be out in the house with the other dogs. They could hurt me just playing with me. She wants me to be safe. She said she is my Foster Mom and she is going to take care of me and help me find a new home...........I guess that means my Mom is not going to come for me.....ever. She said I can call her Mom now and the nice man here is Dad. I like it here. I like when she holds me and talks to me. I think I will be ok.

Day one in my foster home.

My foster mom picked me up yesterday. I just don't know what hapened. My Mom took me in the car and we stopped at PetsMart to shop. Then a lady came in and talked to my mom and she gave me to the lady. The lady took me away and to her house. I don't know where my Mom is. Is she looking for me? Maybe she will come tomorrow. The lady said she is my foster mom. I had a foster Mom once before. It was nice. She was good to me. I'm not going to be here long. My Mom will come to get me I just know she will. She loves me. I waited a long time for my own Mom and I have one, She will come to get me. Won't she. Won't she come and take me home? Did she give me away? I was a good boy. I didn't do any bad things. She would not just leave me. She will come soon.
