Doggy life Jacket!

Mom and Mom got me a doggy life jacket and it has turned my confidence in the water around! The first time we ever went to the river I wouldn't go in past where I could touch with my front paws (unless one of my moms were out there, but even then, I would whine and cry!), but then momma N got me my life jacket and I discovered how fun the water can be!

I bought Shaka a life jacket not only to improve her confidence, but because it's just a safe thing to have! I encourage anyone who brings their dog to a river, ocean, or other moving body of water to get a life jacket - it's safer and could save your pet!

Here are some of the things Shaka can do!

Lay down
Roll over
Sit pretty (on her back legs only)
Up! (Jumps up and touches her nose to your hand as you hold above her head WITHOUT touching you or anything else with paws)

Working on a few more - but she's doing well with these, so far!

Sit. Stay.

Mom has done a really good job of teaching me to Sit and Stay! I do it now, without treats. I am also working on wait (when I come in from outside and my paws are all wet from the rain! She makes me wait while she gets the towel to dry me off).. I'm working on down (laying down from both a sitting, and a standing position) and doing wonderful! I already know off, and stop.. Mom says there are many more tricks to come! She is going to buy me my first pack so I can get used to carrying things. I adapted quite well to my halter, so the pack should be a breeze! Mom just ignored me when I tried to take my halter off the first couple of times and I got the picture real fast, so I should do great with a pack.

Toodles for now!
