Favorite Walk: Her favorite walk in the world is on the beach.
Best Tricks: Thumper can sit, stay, lay, shake paws, and speak on command. She also has a really cute trick that I call the "Low Growl", where it sounds as if she is trying to talk to you in a human voice.
Arrival Story: Thumper has a special story. One of my neighbors came to my door one day and had this tiny little puppy that could fit in the palm of your hand. They asked me if I knew who the puppy belonged to, and I said no. I felt so bad for the pup, so I told my neighbor that if she could not find the owner of the puppy after knocking on some more doors to bring her back to me. Wouldn't you know it, about 20 minutes later they came back and handed me the puppy. I immediately called the local vet and made an appointment for the pup. The vet estimated her age to be only about three weeks old, way too young to be away from her mother. I was instructed on how to bottle feed my new pup and I took her home. We bonded quickly! I named her Thumper because when I would put her down on the ground she was so clumsy and unbalanced that she would thump into things. Now she is eight years old, healthy, happy, and my best friend in the world!
My ultimate sadness came on June 23, 2009. Thumper had been having problems with her fur falling out and being able to get up and down without being in pain. I took her to her vet numerous times and they ran every test known to veterinary science. They checked her Thyroid, Liver, and even thought she might be diabetic. She was finally diagnosed with cancer and within a few days was in so much pain that the best decision that I could make in my heart was to let her go to God and the Rainbow Bridge. I had her cremated so that I will have her with me always. I take her with me still on every trip that she used to love to go on, especially the beach. I carry her box of ashes lovingly and we visit her special spots. I know that she is at the Bridge partying it up with her pals Mazie, Jack, Whiskey, and so many more! That is what keeps me going everyday, to know that she is no longer in pain and is having the time of her life with her new wings and all of her furry furiends. Rest in peace my princess, you are loved more than you will ever know!
Bio: Thumper is a mixed breed dog. Since I do not know where she came from I do not know who her parents are. Her vet believes Thumper is a Chow/Husky mix. Thumper is also on a site called pets.ca.com. I posted her picture and profile at the end of December 2004. I was both honored and amazed that she was chosen as Dog of the Month for January 2005! That was one of Thumper's most exciting Internet moments!

I have been tagged by my good friend Molly so now I am tagging you and 5 other friends! Here is what you are suppose to do:

1. What color is your collar? - It was red, mom keeps it next to my box of ashes since I am now a fur angel.
2. What kind of food do you eat? - I used to eat Science Diet R/D
3. What are your favorite treats - I loved beef jerky, flavored Milk Bones, and my most favorite were Greenies!
4. Do you have a Valentine or significant other? Not while I was here on earth but mom thinks I have one now in heaven!
5. Do you get table scraps? - I used too occasionally.
6. What is your favorite toy? - I didn't play with toys much since I was older but when I was a pup I used to love this stuffy that mom bought me from the Three Dog Bakery.

Yesterday at noon PST I arrived at the Rainbow Bridge. It turns out that I had cancer. I had been ill fur a couple of months prior and mom took me the dogtor many times and they ran a battery of tests on me. They thought I had a thyroid condition at first, then I developed a fungal infection, then they thought I might be diabetic. None of the meds were working and on Monday the 23 I was in so much pain that mom could no longer stand to see met that way. Mom had a feeling fur a while that there was much more going on inside me than my dogtor was catching on too, but she did what they told her to do and gave me my meds. Come Monday night I could not even sleep I was in so much pain. Mom stayed up with me all night and we went to my favorite place, the beach, for one last time. I did not get out of the car, but I could smell the ocean and knew I was at my favorite place. Mom and I hung out she told me how much I have helped her get through some very difficult times in her life. She told me over and over how much she loves me and explained that I would be going to see all my furiends that are already at the Rainbow Bridge. She told me that I would get a beautiful set of angel wings. I would no longer be in pain but still be with mom furever in her heart and soul. Mom is having me cremated so that she will always have a part of me with her. She bought me a beautiful wooden box with my name engraved to carry my ashes in. She is still going to take me to the beach that way and sit with me and remember all the great times we had together.
I want to thank all my wonderful furiends fur being so kind to my mom right now. She is not coping well and feels empty and alone inside. Thank you to all you wonderful Dogster humans fur helping mom to cope. You are more help than you will ever know.
I love you all and will never furget you. I will see you all again one day at the Bridge.
Today I met the sweetest fur named Dee-Dee! She has the most precious story ever. Her mommy rescued her in time before she was PTS! What a wonderful story. Dee-Dee I am so happy that you have found a wonderful furever home!
Dee-Dee has tagged me! I feel so honored! So here goes furs, this is what we do. The rules are to write 7 interesting facts about yourself in your diary & then tag 7 other doggies or kitties by a leaving a rosette OR a p-mail.
1. I was found by my mommy's neighbors when I was abandoned between their house and mommy's house.
2. Mommy took me in when the neighbors could not find anyone to claim me.
3. I had to be bottle and dropper fed fur three weeks because when I was found mommy took me to the vet and they said I was only three weeks old, too young to be away from my fur mom.
4. I try to talk like a human! I make all kinds of funny sounds that sound like I am trying to talk when you talk to me. I really am trying to communicate with you!
5. When I sit down or lay down by my mommy I have to have a part of my body touching one of her feet. I guess it is a security thing.
6. I love the beach! It is my favorite place in the whole world. I will do anything to try and bribe mom into letting me get in the water even if it is cold outside!
7. I will be nine years old this year and I have had the most wonderful life a fur could ever ask fur!
