I glow!! Well, sorta. My dad came up with glow-in-the-dark collars for me and he even made me a coat with a stripe that glows in the dark. Since it's so dark out here in the country, Mom & Dad have always put a collar on me that has tags that make a jingling noise when I walk/run - that way they always hear where I am. When I'm quiet they know I'm up to trouble! BOL. Anyway, now they can see me (the glowy bits, anyway). AND I can see my Rottweiler cousin, Jazz, who has yet to put two and two together. Let's just say she never knows what hits her! BOL. Dad's gonna update his site soon to show off his new stuff: http://www.modruff.com/ Let me know what you think!
Bark ya later!

Well, it looks like the summer of change. My dad moved the MODRuff studio to my grandpawrents country home so now we basically live here. I'm not sure how I feel yet. It's quiet but I love all the sights and scents a city has to offer! Plus I miss meeting new dogs. I had a bout of diarrhea when we stayed in the city for a couple days and the vet said it was because of the change in location. Go figure! My grammy has a Rottweiller puppy named Jasmine (I call her Jas) who is now bigger than me! I am crossing my paws that I will always be able to outrun her :) My grammy also has a shi-tzu named PJ who is the queen of begging at the dinner table! She cries and pleads and stands on her hind legs. I like to lie under the table in case of yummy falling scraps. I've learned that if you're quiet and patient, and really widen those doggie eyes, you will be rewarded!

Bow wow, was last week ever busy! It started last Sunday with a high tea to support canine cancer. It was an charity event put on by Woofstock, which is an outdoor doggie festival here in Toronto. There were doggies there who had survived cancer and some humans there in memory of their loved ones who had passed away. I was in the fashion show and got to model my MODRuff Sport coat & Dragon coat. It was a great time for a barkwhile cause and everyone left with tummies full of treats!
The week then ended with Woofstock's festival, which was held on Saturday & Sunday. They closed a couple blocks of downtown Toronto just for us doggies! Mum & Dad had a booth for MODRuff where they debuted their new martingale collar along with their coats. They designed the collar b/c I LOVE to tug. Hey, I'm a terrier, what can I say? :)
Anyway, it was the HOTTEST weekend of the year so far but it was great to see so many dogs with their humans enjoying themselves. What's funny is that most of us dogs were interested in sniffing for treats instead of playing with each other!! I was in the fashion show both days, modelling my MODRuff gear, which was tons of fun. My uncle Rowan was babysitting me so after I modelled and hung out at the booth and explored the festival I went back to his place to nap in some A/C!

I can't believe how many humans still choose to drive on a beautiful sunny day! I live right downtown and you can walk to get anything dogs and humans need, and yet I look out the window and see cars congesting the parking lot! What's with that?! Anyway, I'm off for a nice long walk with Mommy. Maybe we'll see some squirrels or pigeons along the way that I can scare :)
Cheers,
RJ

I'm back from the country! I've never run or played ball so much in my life before. I've been sleeping for the past two days straight.... Barely have enough energy to type...

I have been in up in the country at my grandpawrents' place for almost a week now! It's a totally different life from city living b/c I run around all day with NO nap, NO leash, and almost no restrictions. Exciting thing's I've done so far?
1. Chased the cat up the tree. Same cat as last summer :)
2. Played with my new Rottweiller cousin. She's 2 months and boy, is she a handful!
3. Learned how to play basketball. Daddy bounces it at me and I can hop up and push it back!
4. Gone naked. It's so warm now I don't need to wear a coat!
That's it for the post. There are 2 new cats that I have to go search out and "meet."
Bark later!

I'm so happy it's Spring I thought I'd come up with a list of things I like (one I don't like) about this time of year...
1. Sunbeams - Pawfect for those long afternoon naps!
2. New plants - I love getting in the dirt and sniffing all the new green things sprouting up. Magic?
3. Treats - I go more places now that the weather's better and everybody has buckets of treats to give!! I don't say no!
4. Rain - Hate it! It's my kryptonite...no matter how much I rub myself all over our furniture I just never feel dry enough!
5. Trips to the country - I get to run off leash and my grandparents have a cat that loves to be chased
(I think) :p
6. Pretty girls - They love to pet me and I love to be pet :)
7. Poop - The thawed snow has revealed all the poop some people didn't pick up after their dogs ("Shame!" says Mom) but as gross as it sounds something draws me to them...
8. Exploration - Now that it's warmer I get to stay out longer and go exploring! You know there's a store owner worth sniffing out who loves dogs and has yummies at the ready.
9. Friends - I love meeting new doggies and meeting up with my friends for playdates.
10. Happiness - 6 months of Winter is insufferable!! Happy days are here again :)

I watched a movie tonight with my parents called "Year of the Dog" starring Molly Shannon. The genre is hard to pinpoint...sort of quirky comedy like "Napoleon Dynamite" but with some drama.
It was about a woman whose dog dies and how she deals with it. I won't give you anymore details b/c I don't want to spoil it but I have to be honest and say it was worth *maybe* 1.5 paws. And that's just because there were a lot of cool dogs in it. I growled at a couple but since they didn't jump out of the tv screen I figured my parents were safe and they were harmless. My dad kept saying how bad it was and my mom couldn't believe there was no action and too much talking. They both told me it was a waste of Molly Shannon's talent. One of the executive producers was Brad Pitt, so mom was doubly shocked, since she thinks he's cool.
In my doggone opinion I think it's worth a view. You'll enjoy all the dogs, especially the scene where they wreak havoc on her house and jump all over the furniture. That scene is worth repeating! Not sure if it's a movie that will babysit you when the parents are away, but it brought up some great animal issues to pawnder.

Today is the first beautiful sunny day in a long, long while and I am soooo happy. Winter seems to last forever, all a dog can do is look out the window and watch the snow melt. Almost all of it is gone but my mom told me we're supposed to get a snowstorm tomorrow. She's worried I'm going to get a seasonal disorder but I just call it the blues.
Speaking of sunny days... A couple weeks ago I went on a road trip to Florida with my mom and dad so I could be in a fashion show in Palm Beach. I had the whole backseat of the car to myself and new bones to chew - so much fun! We spent a night in Charlotte, North Carolina at a hotel that allowed dogs. I was so excited I took pictures with the check-in staff, and I even jumped up and down on the bed! I loved Florida the instant I got out of the car. It was really warm, and it was nice to see green living plants again! We stayed at my Great-granny Sarah's. She's the best - she chased me around and played tug with me.
I wasn't very nervous before the fashion show, but some of the other dogs were. We were treated like stars and they did fittings and everything, but my coat was made especially for me. There were treats and really pretty models everywhere. Not a lot of drama, except one dog was so scared he pee'd backstage. I got to have my picture taken with Snoopy, who is much bigger in real life! I also got to meet a celebrity named Jay Alexander and I had my picture with him. He works with models and I got some good posing tips :)
Now it's back to real life, but when I get sad about the snow I just think of my fun trip to Florida. Today's a good day, though, because my best friend Bailey is over. He's a lot bigger than me but he likes to throw down, Manchester style.
