new home!

I'm feeling better!

Well I've been at my new home for 1 month and I feel lots better. I had to go to the veterinarian and have dental work done but now I have bright shiny teeth and my broken tooth is gone and I don't have bad breath anymore. I'm very happy at my new home and I wag my tail all the time. I get to go for a walk every day and get plenty of good food and I'm having a good time. I love Rufus and Bailey and we get along great.

A new home!

I'm not sure what happened but my family couldn't keep me anymore so I had to go to the dog pound. I've only had one family my whole life and I'm 13 years old so you can just imagine what a shock this has been. The dog pound is stinky and wet and I hated it. I think it's noisy too but since I'm deaf that didn't bother me. I had to share a small space with 2 other dogs and I didn't get a lot to eat because they were younger and got to it first. Lots of people came to the dog pound and looked through the fence stuff at the dogs and pointed and smiled but they aren't allowed to pet us. Nobody looked at me but the puppies got lots of attention. My new mom and dad came to see me and for some reason they both started crying. The lady that works at the pound came in with a leash and put me in a room with my new mom and dad so we could get to know each other. We hit it off right away but to tell you the truth I just wanted to lay down and have a peaceful nap. My dad went off to do paperwork and pretty soon I was in an SUV and on the road. I knew my new family has other dogs because there is dog hair and slobbers in the back of the SUV. When we got to my new house I was surprised to see big comfy dog beds all over the place. I have 2 new roommates and they are very nice and polite. Rufus is a big guy and he says he will keep me safe and Bailey is kind of bossy but she kept me from falling off the deck so I think she kind of likes me. My mouth hurts because I have a broken decayed tooth and my mom says I have horrible breath. I really don' t feel well so I just need to sleep a lot. I have an upset stomach too because I have really been upset! This is too much for an old girl like me!
