Bio: Hi, my name is Jilly and I'm about 7 years old. No one knows for sure how old I am, because I was a shelter rescue, but then I found a wonderful foster home with Greater Ohio Boxer Rescue. My tail is docked and my ears are cropped but they fold over instead of standing straight up...my foster Mom says it give me character!
I'm mostly quiet, but playful at times. My foster Mom says I was poorly socialized and possibly abused at some point in my life, but that doesn't mean anything to me...all I know is that I'm happy to have a nice warm foster home with plenty of food and loving people to share it with! But, as a result of my past, I can be a bit timid and nervous in new surroundings and with new people. Once I warm up though, I'm comfortable enough to lay on a strangers lap! My foster Mom tells me I'm very well behaved with no bad habits. I do like to spend a lot of time in my crate....I really must have a crate for my own comfort and security, not because I chew things or have accidents in the house. I like to eat and sleep in my crate, unless you'll let me sleep in bed with you! If I don't have my crate, I'll get a bit nervous because I need my own place.
I am a pretty healthy girl...I have a few small lumps, but the nice vet I went to said they are nothing to worry about. I also have a bit of excess of gum tissue but it doesn't get in the way of eating or pose any health problems.
What I'd really like is a quiet home with a settled family and at least one other dog, Boxer experience required. My foster Mom calls me a gem who will shine immensely in just the right home!
If you have the love and the time for me please adopt me? Please go to Go Boxer Rescue to complete an Application to Adopt so they know you would like to adopt ME! Be sure to mention my name on the Application to Adopt. Remember, I'm Jilly.
