Arrival Story:
My boyfriend and I saw 2 Rottweilers in need of a home on the LA County pound website. We went to the South Central Pound with every intention of visting the Rottweilers and perhaps even taking one home. When we got there, one of the workers informed us that the dogs we had come to see had mange and were quarantined from all visitors. We started to walk away disappointed until the worker mentioned that there were some puppies that had just arrived in a room off to the side. We went in the room and immediately fell in love with a small Boxer mix puppy. She was the quietest dog in the room and just kept licking our hands. She was a little in demand so we had to return the next day for an auction. It must have been fate because we outbid the other family and took little Dixie home!
