Arrival Story:
I wanted a beagle puppy because my cat, Alex, needed a friend to help him get well (really - the puppy was for him :>). Molly and siblings were born and I got first pick of her litter. Baby Molly came home and helped nurse Alex back to health with her love and kisses. Alex reciprocated by grooming Molly everyday and getting well! (See Alex on Catster.com)

I got blessed again!

My mom has not let me write in my diary for a long time. We have done a lot of fun things I can tell you about. First, I got blessed again at my church and it was very fun. This year Rev. Nancy blessed me and even let me jump on her lap. The ministers didn't wear their robes this year but the choir sang and there was a camel, donkey, lama and we had so much fun. Owen got blessed too but he hated every minute of it. Mom said he can stay home next year. Boston cried and cried in the car before we even backed out of our carport so he didn't have to go. Momma is a softy for crying kitties.

Goodbye to Scout

Our Scouty died. She got hit by a car in front of our house and someone put her in a lawn refuse bag. We searched and searched for Scout and then the second night while we were looking, our neighbor, Jay, called to tell us that another neighbor, Greg, found Scout in the bag. My mom took her to the place where Alex went when he died. My mom renamed our park. Now it is The Alex and Scout XXXXXX Memorial Park. I miss Scout very much. So does my momma.

Our New Park!

Earlier in the year we decided to turn our backyard into a dog park for Lillie and me and our friends in the neighborhood. Tonight, we dedicated The Alex XXXXXX Memorial Park and it was the best park dedication ever! We had 37 neighbors and friends, 12 kids and 20 dogs join us for the dedication. Rev. Paul led the dedication and our friend, Susan, Uncle John, Uncle Kevin, our friend and Rev. Paul's wife, Jenn, and our good neighbor, Rich, each read aloud at the ceremony. After that, our mom said neat things about Alex (our cat who died) . When she was done, Rev. Paul blessed the park. It was really neat and I think our neighbors will come back and play with us. Before it got too dark, one of my favorite boys - Sam (my mom's nephew) accidently pulled a light down from the tree. He didn't get hurt so that is good, but half of our park was not lit up after dark. Then, we got a really neat cat statue for our park and another of my favorite boys, Patrick (another nephew) accidently broke the cat's ear. That is a big bummer. Little boys are really destructive. My last favorite boy, Joseph (yes) was a very good baby the whole party but he never ate any of his dinner and that doesn't make any sense to me. My favorite girl, Elizabeth (uhhh . . .yeah) she was the sweetest and she played with a boy in the front yard who is afraid of dogs. Lillie was miserable the whole party because she is a very bad girl. Scout stayed in my mom's office and didn't cry the whole time. I'm exhausted.
