The photos here do not do this handsome guy justice. Riley is a strikingly beautiful 2 year old tri color beagle/treeing walker mix with amber colored eyes. He weighs about 30 lbs and stands just a hint taller than my oldest beagle at about 17 inches. Don’t let his size fool you – this is one very friendly boy who possesses a wonderful personality. Riley is very affectionate and his tail never stops wagging. In fact, his whole body gets into the wag and it looks like he’s shaking his booty (we call this the happy dance)!. Riley is very well behaved thus far and walks well on leash – no major pulling here! Uo-to-date on shots and currently on monthly preventatives this great dog will be an awesome addition to a family with other dogs or kids.
Because he’s a tall boy we believe that a fenced yard might be best (especially if there are children in the home) but judging by his walking on lead skills and a test with a tie out it’s not a “must have”. Riley really wants to please and live the kind of life he is meant to – one full of unconditional love and guidance (he needs a brush up on his tinkle skills but keeps his crate dry overnight!!) GOOD BOY, Riley!! If you are interested in re-homing this gorgeous dog please don’t hesitate – Riley is a rare combo of smart/handsome & friendly!
