My very favorite thing to do is eat. I like meat and cheese and grass - Mom calls it "hitting the salad bar"

I hate it when Mom uncurls my tail, or pokes at my paws for nail clipping and cleaning. I also dont like the vaccum or guys with hats on. They both scare me a bit so I bark at them.

Favorite Toy:
I give Mom the patented "sad eyes" look a lot so she buys me lots of toys and tasty treats. My favorite toy right now is my stuffed turkey. He squeeks.

Favorite Food:
Anything that I can get is good. *puppy grin* Right now I like potted meat in the litttle cans and pig ears. Oh, I like my Innova kibble too... just not plain. Mom says I am spoiled. I say I am a Gourmet.

Favorite Walk:
We mostly go to the dog park for fun and exercise. We go on boring walks to the grocery store and Walmart and the Mall. I'm not sure about the Mall, it has lots of stuff to sniff but it is very loud and people act weird.

Best Tricks:
I know a bunch of tricks and stuff. The one my my likes best is when I lay down while she makes my food, and when I dont get up until she says it is ok. I even stay lying down when my food is on the floor and she cant see me anymore.

Arrival Story:
How I came to live with my Mom - by Kodi My biological mom was just a puppy herself when she got pregnant with me and my brothers and sisters. Her owner's son accidently let her out when she was in heat. Her owners couldnt keep all of us, so they sent us to a friend of theirs named LaRue in San Jose to find us homes. We went sent off kinda early cause we were getting very big and the family thought it would be hard for them to find us homes if we got much bigger. It was a silly thought, cause we are so cute, but thats what they thought. LaRue was friends with my mom's brother Jordan. Jordan saw my little brother and took him home. He named him Leo. When my mom saw Leo and saw how cute and sweet he was, and found out that the rest of the puppies would be going to the animal shelter in a few days, she had to stop by LaRue's and see us. There was just me and my littlest sister left. I was the biggest boy at 10lbs and my sister was the runt. My mom sat in front of the box that I was sleeping in scratched our heads. I woke up, yawned, climbed out of the box and into her arms. I snuffled a bit then licked her elbow. She was a goner from then, even though she didn't quite know it yet. I gave her the "sad eyes" and that was that. She took me home right then. Sadly my sister passed away later that night. But I get to see my brother every couple of weeks. I take him to the dog park and show him the ropes.

My mom started training me right away. We started with not peeing or pooping in the house, cause that is kinda gross. But we soon moved on to cooler stuff. When I was four months old, Mom put me in the puppy kindergarten class. Since then, I have completed my basic training and Canine Good Citizen classes. I passed the test three weeks ago. We are now looking into advanced classes or maybe agility classes. I like to learn new stuff. My best friend is a Saluki named Peaches. Her (much) older sister Gyspy doesnt like me much, though I dont know why. Mom and Mary and Aaron call her "grouchy old lady". I have been friends with Peaches since I was just a wee little pup. We have great fun running around her house. I even got to go with her to visit her mom, dad, aunts and sister. She was an "accident" too. Her mom and dad were not supposed to make babies at that time. Her mom had just moved from Israel and they wanted her to get a bit older first. It was fun visiting her family, though sometimes I felt left behind. They could all run very fast and I could not keep up. I tried real hard though. I go to the dog park almost every day. I have many friends - Jesse the Border Collie, Felix the Dane/Lab, Sophia the Doberman and Misty the Rottie are some of my favorites. We mostly wretle and play chase. Sometimes I think Jesse takes Judo lessons in her spart time. She is very good at pulling me down and tackling me for some one who is half my size. I like to play fetch but only with stuffed animals. I only play with balls when I steal them from other dogs at the dog park. It makes them chase me. I like to play chase. Mom says I am pretty mellow. I spend most of my days sleeping or chewing on stuff. I have a box of toys and a big bowl of bone but I like Mom's shoes best. She doesn't like that so much. I like to sleep on her bed but sometimes for get the "no bones on the bed" rule. She doen't like that much either. I am very nearly full grown. My vet says I will probly not get any taller but will but on 20-30lbs. Since I am already 65lbs that seems like a lot.

I wanted to tell you guys sooner but mom say the puter was not so good and the inter-something was not working. Well, she didnt say that exactly but she was grumbling and saying bad words at the little TV, which usually means its broken.

Anyways, back to Leo... and Max. On sunday, my gramma called and said she had a present for Mom (usually its for me, not mom, so I was super excited) and wanted us to come over. Turns out it was just paint (bleh I dont like the taste of paint) so I wasn't too thrilled. But then mom and gramma suggested that me, and Leo and Max and Foxy go to the school field behind gramma's house. It took us a while to get ready cause fat little Foxy out grew her harness. Grampa says its time to stop "free fedding em" cause Foxy eats all the time and is getting rilly fat. She cant even lick her own butt anymore.

Gramma rigged Foxy's collar to stay around her neck and off we went. Mom had me and Leo, cause Gramma has a bad back and Leo gets too excited and pulls rilly hard. We have to same kind of collar, and when I pull it doesnt feel good so I stop. Leo is crazy. Gramma was walking with Max and Foxy and Grampa was following us to make sure we made it to the school ok.

When we got to the school there was a soccer game going (I like to play soccer cept when the ball hits my head) and another dog was loose. I wasn't to upset cause I am used to other dogs. I go to the dog park almost every day. But Leo isnt used to seeing other dogs (Mom says his dad is a lazy jerk who is ruining his dog.) so he went a little crazy barking and wanting to play. Foxy managed to wiggle free and went running up to the big dog, barking all of the time. I think she forgets that she is a very little dog cause we let her have her way all of the time. If you dont she is very noisey.

Grampa grabbed up Foxy and took her home. Cant trust her off leash cause she is little, quick and she likes to go on walk-abouts. Leo was still way to excited and was gonna hurt himself so Mom passed me over to Gramma. I walk really good on leash so I wouldnt hurt Gramma.

We made our way past the soccer game and other people and dogs to the far end of the field. This is were the fun began. Gramma let Max of first and told him to run. He is a fst little bugger for his size. Then Gramma let me off and the chase was on!!! I like to chase Max. Mom was working on getting Leo to calm down and sit before letting him off. We were racing all over the place. The grass was rilly muddy, which is the best kind I think. Leo and I face planted Max a couple of times so he was a big mess. We raced around for a long time, taking drinks out of puddles and eating some grass before racing around again. We went out as light colored dogs but came back as black dogs, Grampa said.

Mom wiped down me and Leo, but Max had to get a bath. Ha ha! Sucker! And we got chicken treats!

It was a great day.

Craft stores are the bane of my exsistance.

I swear, if Mom takes me to one more craft store I am gonna something embarassing like clean my boy parts or fart in the checkout line.

We went to three different craft stores today. We were looking for goleye pits or something... Wonder what thoses are. They seem to be very special. Mom was mad they didnt have any. We spent alot of time walking back and forth, it was making me dizzy and kinda bored. All I heard was come, sit, leave it over and over again. Like the noises that comes out of the black thing on the table, while Mom complains about being "on hold". It doesnt look like a "hold" to me... looks like a chair. Anyways...back to the craft store.

What does she expect me to do while she looks at the little bags of sparkly stuff stuck to the wall. They wouldnt put stuff on the floor if they didn't want you to sniff or lick it, right?

And what's with the human puppies? Why do the pet me than make the high pitch yelping noises? They hurt my ears. I liked the litt.... I smell the meat paste stuff!!!

Got to go guys!
