Nicknames:
Grubbie, Grubberratta Stinklebutt, Grubbalicious, Beanie-weenie

Quick Bio:
-purebred

Likes:
Being spanked!

Pet-Peeves:
People in hats (especially Yankees hats) and being left home alone.

Favorite Toy:
Tennis balls, kongs, and tires (not the kind you buy at the pet store; she liked steel-belted radials the best!)

Favorite Food:
Bean would eat just about anything, but she really loved tacos and beer.

Favorite Walk:
Anywhere. Bean was so well behaved that I never needed to put her on a leash. She especially loved to go mountain biking and backpacking with me.

Best Tricks:
She would tear a sofa to shreds in mere minutes, but only when commanded to. She also recorded the outgoing message on the answering machine.

Arrival Story:
Bean introduced herself to me by putting a tennis ball at my feet and looking from me to the ball and back and forth and stamping her front feet until I threw it for her. She belonged to a neighbor who was leaving the country so I offered to take her. She was the best behaved, smartest dog I have ever had. A friend said that she and I must have been soul mates in a previous life; I think we were soul mates in this life.

Bio:
Bean had lots of friends; I think she knew more people than I did. She was always included in dinner and party invitations, and I think people were disappointed if I didn't bring her. She loved to go to the beach and camping, and she even flew on an airplane for a two week vacation on the East Coast. She wasn't so excited when my dog family began to grow, but she eventually got used to being Mama dog, and would hold the other dogs down with her paw and lick them until their faces and ears were clean. I lost Bean to lymphoma on October 1, 2001. She was my best friend and I miss her every day.
