Public service announcement: dont eat soap!January 14th 2011 7:49 am[ Leave A Comment | 19 people already have ]
As some of you may (or may not) knows EBPP gots hurt pretty bad last weeks. Mama doesnt know what I did, but she thinks i musta jumped on or off the bed wrong and hurt my cervical spine! I was in bunches of pain and crying, which made mama's cry too! Mama and daddy had to takes me to the dogter and get me all fixed up. Anyhoo, I is feeling mucho more betters now. The dogter put me on a bunch of medicines and that prednisone stuff to shrink the swelling. That is the same stuff Hanna Banana was on for her seizure monsters.

Predisione makes me very hungry too! I'm sorry you got hurt! I hope you feel better real soon! yeah Roudy, Mama was suprised too. I never do things like that.. I even started peeing in the house (I are so embarassed about that!) but the vet said that happens with the pred too.. Luckily Mama understands after going thru this with Hanna, so she didnt get mad at all, she knows things will be better as soon as the meds are finished. Diesel, I didnt know you was on the pred too! What do you take it for?? oxoxoxox EPBB Yes predisione makes you go potty in the house.Somebody has'nt been reading my diary BOL!It's been really rough these past few months.I have to be on predisione because I have severe allergies including inhalent allergies.I already tried antihistmines and I had to get biopsied in 4 different places right before Christmas to see if I have autoimmune disease because I keep breaking out all over my body and it turns into staph infections 3 times these past few months already and I had to get antibiotics for all 3 infections.I also had to get tests done for my thyroid and liver. It was determined that it was my allergies causing these infections and not a disease. We know everything I am allergic to since I am also allergic to things that cannot really be controlled in the environment dust, pollens, insects, trees, grasses, etc I have to be on predisione for life unless my hyposensitizing shots I am doing at home work then I can take predisione less and hopefully one day not at all but I have to do the shots for life.Either way I have to be on medications forever but hopefully these shots work for me so I can do those and not so much predisione.Hopefully one day I can just do the shots and get a different medication to take with the shots.Lucky for you you won't be on predisione very long the side effects suck.Get well real soon Elsie! and don't eat any more soap it is yucky! wow Diesel! that is terrible that you have all those allergies! Thank DOG you have such a wonderful mama and daddy that make sure you stay happy and healty! Our wish is that all pups know that feeling! Mama and Daddy was just looking at your page. You are sooooooooooo freaking cute they cant stand it!!! Mama has always been interested in your breed. She heard you guys are hard to train? Maybe when your mama has time she could give us some more info? We are friends with the Bull Terrier Rescue that you support and would love to know more about your breed.. Mama wants another chi (she loves the little babies), but I think we could convince Dad to get a BT if it is compatible with us! as you may or may not know Snappy (Snapper Mullethead Miller) is an all-white JRT and is deaf... something about white pups eh? Are you deaf too? Mama would love to know more about your darling breed if you have any info! xoxoxoxo EBPP Yes it really is terrible we are all trying to do the best we can.My parents are worried we really have to keep those infections away somehow.I am costing a fortune though mama says I need to go get a job she said I should go be the next Target dog BOL! Oh Thank you! (blushing) My mom does not have any training experience because I have never been trained and neither has Cash so she has no experience on professional training. We are easily persuaded by treats and toys and need socialization. We are stubborn though BOL! We do know how to get our own way though.Bull terriers can definitly get along with other pets and there are some bull terriers who do not get along with other pets. If you get a puppy they will grow up with the other dogs and of course should get along with them if you get a rescue they let you know if that bullie is good with other pets you also get a trial period where if it does not work out the bullie can be brought back to the rescue. We know many bullies who live in households with other smaller dogs even of the same sex.We know some who need to be the only dog also.If you get a bullie my mom says since you have other pets maybe a girl would be a better choice? (this is just her opinion.)I did not know Snappy was deaf! but yes something about white pups do make us more susceptible to everything (not fair).English bull terriers do come in tricolor and brindle colors also.My mom says to tell you once you get a bullie you will always want a bullie health problems and all she says bullies are the best! BOL! You should visit this site to read all about English Bull Terriers it's Sunny The Bull Terrier.com Sunny the bull terrier.com I forgot to add that no I am not deaf but some bull terriers are as it is one of the health problems bullies can have.http://katem95790.tripod.com/health.htm I forgot to add that no I am not deaf but some bull terriers are as it is one of the health problems bullies can have.http://katem95790.tripod.com/health.htm I forgot to add that no I am not deaf but some bull terriers are as it is one of the health problems bullies can have.http://katem95790.tripod.com/health.htm I forgot to add that no I am not deaf but some bull terriers are as it is one of the health problems bullies can have.Bull Terrier health I was on prednizone too when I's hurts me back. It made me very thirsty but it made me all better! Eating soap - that doesn't sound yummy to me. I much prefer used kleenexes! oh I sure hope that you are feeling better now!! OMD, EBPP! We're so sorry you fell and hurt yourself and had to be put on Prednisone. We hope you don't have it for long as it can cause problems (our last dog, Buddy, went blind and had diabetes, needing insulin twice a day). Vet didn't say that the diabetes was caused by Prednisone, but he was suspicious the long term use of Prednisone might have been responsible (of coure, so could the diabetes). Eating soap is a no-no, sweetie, no matter how hungry you are (as you've found out). So glad the peroxide got rid of it (musta tasted really icky!). We hope you're 100% better now! Love, Sully & Socks Prednisone is good and bad at the same time. It helps lots of sicknesses, but it does a job on your body. I took it years ago for allergies. It helped for a short while. I was always hungry and I, too, couldn't hold my pee. If steroids aren't good for people, I'm sure they're not good for us pups either, so mom doesn't want me taking them anymore. Bad thing is, they make you chunk out and I've never been able to loose the weight I gained while on them. Hey Keighty! It seems having to take pred runs in our fambly (at least the womenfolk BOL!) Mama had to be on it a couple years ago for her Crohn's disease and never did lose the weight she gained. Hanna was on it for most of her too-short life (Bless her heart) and never lost it. Hopefully, I will never have to take it again after this. Mama has been keeping a watchful eye on me so I dont do much running or jumping for a while. but you are right, it does have it's advantages and disavantages. we are thinkin the advantages (living, no seizures, etc) outweigh the disadvantages! Much loves to you! EPBB Diesel, we're so sorry to hear of your troubles, too! It's terrible that you have such bad and uncontrollable allergies. We hope the shots will work and you can get off the Prednisone soon. Glad to hear it was nothing worse from the biopsies, but still awfully hard on you and your pawrents. Good luck, sweetie! And, Whitley, Sully is also a used kleenex chewer...we've never figured out where he gets them (unless he goes in the trash while we're not looking), but very often we see him shredding kleenex (or paper towels)...very odd! He'll hide them under his paws or body if he sees us coming, but have such a guilty look on his face that we know to do a body search and more times than not, he's got them stashed! We don't think he actually swallows them (hope not!), but he just loves to shred them...wierd little pup!! Sure hope you are feeling much better very soon, EBPP...know how that musta scared Mom & Dad! You're very right on that one, EPBB! Love ya! ~Keighty~ Always a good job right here. Keep rolling on tohrugh. |
