Arrival Story:
Lily was on Petfinder as a year old. She had been found behind a McDonald's in the dumpster. At that time, I had just chosen a Texas Heeler from another rescue, so I had to let CD go. A year and half later, I had to put that dog down and immediately started to look for a new one. When I walked into a shelter in a different county, there was CD. I brought her home as soon as she was available, and renamed her My Red Lily . What else do you name a tall red dog in July?

Bio:
Lily exhibits all Greyhound traits, particularly she is very quiet and laid back in the house. No discernible Basenji personality traits, except for a temper tantrum when breakfast is over and I don't open the crate fast enough to suit her. She is barkless, but talks in a deep rumbly voice. Lily is a hard one to figure out, but she's a very good girl and likes her forever home! One year update: Lily has learned to say 'Hello' and 'Walk'. She is out of her shell and bouncing around outdoors and running brside a bike. The other 2 pictures on her page are Sasha, the Aussie/Heeler, who preceeded Lily as my furgirl and Mia Joy, my Siberian/wolf who came before both Sasha and Lily. Mia and Sasha are at the Rainbow Bridge, but I don't want them forgotten.
