Her brother Hercules. He worships the ground she walks on and will not leave her side.

She has this block of wood that she will not part with no matter how many other toys we give her!

Deer hooves...(ick)

Absolutely anywhere!

Best Tricks:
Treppie can rollover, shake, sit, lie down, turn around, speak, and dance.

Arrival Story:
She was given to us by some loggers when she was about 5 months old.

Bio:
The loggers lived in a remote area and did not spay Treppie's mom who was a Chow Chow. The only way they can figure out how Treppie's mom got pregnant was that a coyote strayed from its pack. So, Treppie does not know who her pa pa is.

Love-Filled Life of Treppie

Gone to the Rainbow Bridge

My girl crossed over to the bridge last night at exactly midnight. We actually had a rainbow bridge appointment already for her at 8:15 am this morning, but she was in so much pain that we could not let her suffer those remaining hours.

I never thought I'd have to edit Treppie's name to put those dates after let alone post this diary entry; it just seems so unreal. I really don't think the worst has even hit me just yet. It would have been her 14th birthday this December. Her outside pool is still filled with live fish that she loved to chase--never killed them--just liked to stand in the water and blow bubbles.

Now we are concerned for Hercules. We found him last Thursday unable to get up. His blood work came out great but the vet could not determine a cause; maybe a stroke or was playing with Treppie and injured his neck/back? Treppie was his close companion, I cannot explain how close. So when we took him to the vet, he had to stay there until we forcefully brought him home this past Monday. This is when Treppie went downhill. She would not eat, drink, and just got weak so we were having to sit with her in which she would eat a few bites of wet food which was better than nothing at all. On top of it, Hercules was not getting better and would not eat one bite of food either. I finally told the vet that we had to bring Hercules home, and explained that I think because they were too attached to one another, that they had to be together and I had to take that chance. So they unhooked Hercules from his IVs and meds.

When we brought Hercules home on Monday, both of them were in high spirits and ate all their food. I could not believe it and realized how tight the bond was between them. I was so happy to see them with that twinkle in their eyes. Even though Hercules was still dragging himself to get around, there spirits seemed to be so strong and happy. But in just a matter of one day (last night), Treppie just drastically and suddenly deteriorated as the night went on. We took her to the vet, but she was already starting to shut down.

I feel so bad as we tried to feed/water her but I didn't know what else to do but bring Hercules home which is what the solution seemed to be. Plus just not really knowing what exactly the cause was is so incomplete of a feeling.

As of this morning, Hercules is actually walking. He walks for about 4 feet before collapsing but is sooo much better than he was. He can actually stand and not pee all over himself. Now I fear when he realizes Treppie is not around, what is going to happen.

To one of Heaven's newest angels,

I miss you sweet Treppie and just cannot fathom that you are gone from our lives. You have given us all so much to laugh about and most importantly, the unconditional love that will always remain with us until we meet again. Love you my lil Angel.
