Arrival Story:
I lived 3 hours away from my Mommy before she came and met me halfway. When I met my Mommy, I had a big old bald spot on my back where the vet shaved me because of a boo boo I had. I was afraid of what my new Mommy-to-be would think of it, since she didn't know, so I wagged and wagged my tail and gave lots of kisses. It must have worked because she took me right home with her! I love my new family and they love me to pieces!

I'm a big sister!

Well it's 6/18, I'm one today and got some new pigs' ears for my birthday, yum!! It's been exactly 3 weeks today since I became a new big sister. I'm getting used to having a baby brother but I still want to smell all the diaper changes and of course I have to smell his mouth when he's crying too! He makes me a little nervous. Sometimes I don't like sleeping in the same room with him because of all the funny little sounds he makes! Mom and Dad say it's okay, but they don't let me jump on the side of his bed to try and see what he's doing, and they don't let me step on him. Oh, they get a little upset when I take off with his dirty diapers too. They are only going to throw them away anyway, sheesh! I'm anxious for him to become mobile, I'm sure we're going to be the best of friends!!!

My first Christmas

I wasn't so sure about this holiday that everyone seemed to be making a fuss over. First, we got this great tree INSIDE the house! I thought it would be so much fun because I love playing tug of war with the branches on the pine trees outside, but mom and dad scolded me every time I tried to do this with the Christmas tree! This tree had all sorts of great chewable things on it like garland, lights, and ornaments. I couldn't have those either without getting in trouble. :(

Then all around the bottom of the tree started to fill up with presents. I thought things were getting better because I love presents. I tried unwrapping them every chance I got but was told they weren't for me. Then Mom put snappy trainers traps around the tree so I'd stop it. Golly gee, Mom, can't a girl have ANY fun? And she also put a big furry collar on me with jingle bells on it. That wasn't so bad once I figured out how to chew the bells off!

Well, all the stress of the holidays finally paid off on Christmas morning. Santa brought me the greatest new chew toy, I think it was one of Rudolph's old hooves. I got to unwrap it first before anybody else opened anything! I made short work of that and got straight to chewing on it. I finished up about the time everyone else finished unwrapping and I finally got to play with some wrapping paper, more fun!!

All in all, Christmas was great! Thanks Santa!

The Sprinkler

I went outside with Daddy this evening, like I always do. I was having fun trying to sniff things out of the dirt, getting my face good and dirty like I like it, and then all of a sudden my daddy turned on this weird thing I've never seen before. He called it the "sprinkler". It shot water out really far and even got a few drops on my back before I even knew what hit me! That was quite a shock. I don't think I like the "sprinkler" very much.

Mommy's been really persistent about putting goopy medicine in my eye. She says I have an eye infection and I only need to do this for a couple more days, so today I decided to let her do it without much fuss as long as she let me chew on her hand while she did it.
