Leave a bone for Meadow Blue

Meds, Meadow Blue

Doggie Dynamics:
not playfulvery playful

Quick Bio:

May 5th 2002

Likes to sleep under the covers, loves to go to PetSmart, meet and greet people on our walks, loves to chase her laser light, likes to play fetch with her ball, catches frisbees. She likes to take other dogs' bones.

Going out in the cold, wearing sweaters (a must in cold weather), wind, breezes, the Vet's office, and when I leave for work or for errands.

Favorite Toy:
Her laser light is definitely her favorite, followed by her soft fabric ball.

Favorite Food:
Royal Canin's Mini Adult 27

Favorite Walk:
A walk with me in a nice grassy park with lots of trees.

Best Tricks:
She loves to jump and catch frisbees. Has a large vocabulary. Knows names of friends, family. She also communicates her needs to me by either growling, or talking in a sing-song voice.

Arrival Story:
I found an ad at the San Diego Reader's Classifed section online. I had been looking for a blue gray Italian Greyhound, and there was Meadow! 10 weeks old and full of energy, she bounded into my lap when I called her name. I fell in love with her instantly. She is my best friend, and I don't know what life would be like without her! I am planning to write a book about her, featuring a lot of photos I've taken of her in the past two years.

Meadow comes from a long line of champions, who are featured in Italian Greyhound books.

My Tail of Devotion for Meadow Blue

Dogs prove their loyalty by unconditional love. They don't care what you look like when you get up in the morning, and they may not express their opinion of your favorite old shirt that has a hole in it. It's unconditional love without judgment.

That's the case with Meadow. Meadow, I know you can read this. I'm so sure that when I go to work, you turn on the computer and surf to your web page on Dogster. So here it goes, my little girl.

I have loved you from the day you jumped into my arms at your parents' house. You were so smart and clever, running to me when I called your name. Ever since that day, you've shown me more and more amazing things. The way we understand each other is uncanny. I KNOW you understand everything I say, even though at times you choose to show you don't (at your advantage). And how could I blame you? I'd probably do the same thing to get an extra treat.

So here's to you, my dear Meadow. You make my day sunny and bright and bring me out of the darkest of moods. You are an angel. Thank you for coming into my life.

This is a special Tail of Devotion

I found my brother!

I was wishin' and hopin' and wishin' and hopin' that I would see one of my siblings again...or at least hear from them. I saw my sister (either Misty or Bella) a couple of years ago at an IG playdate in Poway (San Diego), CA. We had fun playing and getting to know each other again!

Then, would you believe it, my brother Scooby Blue comes on the scene at Dogster. I love my brother. I am so glad he's here on Dogster with me!!!

Even though we live in AZ now, it's still great to be able to be in touch with family. Know what I mean?

You can see Scooby Blue (my bro) at: He's also one of my pup pals.

Okay, I've been gone a while, but I'm BACK!

Gosh, it's good to be back! I have not been able to write in my diary, because my Mom's been working hard.

First, I want to congratulate the fine people at Dogster for such a wonderful site! I am so proud to have my own home page on Dogster. Woof! You deserve some "high fives" for such good work! You got a WEBBY Award! My mom's a web developer, and she agrees your award is so well-deserved.

What's new? I had to go to the VET this weekend. I hate going to the Vet. Even tho' they are nice to me, I just get this icky feeling all over. And the first thing I think of when I'm standing on that cold, stainless steel table waiting to be examined is, "Kid, you've got to get out of here!" If I see an open door, I'm going to RUN as FAST as I CAN!

My dew claw on my left foot snagged when I was playing with my Uncle Bill. Man, that hurt! I milked it for all I could get. Even tho the bandage was taken off a few hours ago, I'm still seeing if I can get sympathy from my dog friends, and from my human friends. If I limp now and then, I get all these reactions...and everyone pets me and says nice things. They even pick me up and carry me outside, carry me everywhere. Hmmm. Could be I got something here.

Even if my mom knows I'm trying to fool her. Hah! She also knows that I always get my way. I mean, she lives to serve me, right? Right.
