Sleeping

I finally got a good nights sleep!

My mommy ran around with me in the morning even though she wasn't feeling well, then
she insisted that my daddy play alot with me when he got home.

I kept falling asleep during the day but mommy kept waking me up, except when she fell asleep for an
hour or so in the middle of the day. ( thanks to me keeping her up)

Mommy told my daddy that he should play with me more in the morning like he used to, but he denied
having that pattern.

Daddy played with me last night for a while and my mommy was happy to see me happy and smiling.
She said she hasn't seen that in a while, I guess I was missing that play time with my daddy.

He has been so busy with work and getting the house ready to sell, that he has not been giving me much
attention, and I guess I noticed it.

Let's see what happens tonight.
He didnt play with me this morning so now mommy has to do it, even though she doesnt feel well.
I am sure she will make him play with me tonight, so I dont keep her up.

I'll keep you posted....

Still not sleeping

It's like night and day are reversed all of a sudden.
Even Benedryl doesnt make me stay alseep.
I wake up at midnight or 2am , if i go to sleep at all, and whine until my human wakes up.
she puts me back on my chair and tells me to stay but then I get down and whine again.
She yells at me and that sometimes keeps me quiet but I stay near her lust looking at her.
I am driving her crazy.
She isnt sleeping and really needs her beauty sleep, she looks awful!

I sleep alot more during the day and they try to lay with me but I dont last long before I just want to lay down again.

I think I may have symptoms of a brain disorder, CDS.
My mom is going to suggest that ot the vet, but she doesnt like him since he seems to
be convinced its normal age behavior problem.
She looked it up and he couldnt be more wrong.
She thinks he is biased, and may have to move on to another vet.

Any suggestions for a good vet near Rocky Point, NY?

Still not sleeping at night!

I went to the Vet and had blood work done and so far nothing shows up and the question still
remains the same; why aren't I sleeping at night?

I am fine during the day but at night I dont sleep and am restless and whine to get my humans up.
I driving driving them crazy and they are very concerned about this.

I had to take half a benedryl tablet the other night which helped keep me from being restless but I still
woke up easily and very early - 4:30am.

If anyone reading this has any ideas I an open to suggestions.

the vet thinks its anxiety and behavior issue but I am well behaved during the day so I am not buying
that one.

Any ideas?

Beauty Sleep

Hi all,

I am very restless lately, especially this past week (Valentines Day).
My mommy thinks it's because I am cold so she bought me a blanket and placed
it on one of my chairs so I will sleep better.

This worked for a little bit, but then I thought jumping in bed with my mommy worked
better for me. She humors me for a few minutes then tells me to get off and go in my bed.

I really think it is something in the air because my pal Buttons experienced the same thing
this week.

I had a good night last night and I even let mommy finish her coffee before taking me out.

Not sleeping well

I am not sleeping good at night, frustrating to my mommy because that means she doesn't sleep either.

Last night I couldnt get to sleep and my mommy let me get in bed with her.
When she fell asleep I got up again whining and being restless, of course, waking her up again.

I feel fine this morning, chipper, hungry as usual and now I am resting on the couch close to my mommy.

Hope I can sleep tonight.
Hope I don't have to go back to the Vet!

Visit to the Vet

I went to the vet because I am very congested and it keeps me up.
My mommy is worried about me so I had to go ( I don't like going to the vet).

My daddy human took me there and had them check me out.
I think he mentioned my butt problem but not sure if he followed through on it because when asked, he didnt remember what vet said about it and it wasnt listed on the bill.
Stay tuned on my Butt issue...


They listened to my heart and said it sounded good but definately sounded congested.
He decided to give me an Antibiotic w/o knowing if I had an infection.

He decided NOT to do a chest X-ray because if i dont get better by next week,I can just come back in (more money) and get the chest x-ray at that time.

He didnt suggest any OTC meds for relief (never does).

It was a quick trip , I was home within the hour and my Mommy said "so quick? what did they do?"
They said try this medication and come back next week if not better. Butt issue? I dont know? I guess they thought it was fine.

Oh, I forgot to tell you! I pooped in my daddy humans car on the way, but he was prepared this time :-)

BTW my vet not listed here on dogster. It's the rocky point hospital.

I get ot ask questions in the forums area, such as "why does my butt itch" and get such wonderful and helpful answers!
I get to look up vets or pet friendly places in my area or area I intend to visit.
I get to rate places etc....

I get to make new friends and join cool groups too.

I am bringing more people here (myspace friends).

I love reading other dogs blogs and hope I can be just as interesting in my own.

My mommy human can't get enough of me and takes good care of me!!
