Arrival Story:
We first adopted Keeva from the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) of Alberta when she was 11 month old. ARF has a policy that all dogs adopted MUST be returned to ARF if a guardian cannot keep that dog (for any reason). I started volunteering for ARF and when Xena's guardians contacted our dog program coordinator about giving her up, we got the email right away. Both of my girls are "returns" which people think is very sad, but we are eternally grateful to those people as we think that we have two exceptional dogs!
