Leave a bone for Joey

Nicknames: JoJo / BoBo / Baby / Sweetie / Honey Bear / JoeyJoeyBaBoey / move, Joey

Quick Bio:
Likes: Greenies, swimming & sleeping on the bed (and morning belly rubs)

Pet-Peeves: Squirrels in his yard and hot air baloons flying over

Favorite Toy: Blue Bear & Mr.Tomato Head are two of his favorite stuffed toys w/squeekers - he has about 10 others. And he also loves his kong.

Favorite Food: Greenies, eggs & bananas

Favorite Walk: Along the river where he can jump into the water and the Beach - he LOVES chasing the birds!

Best Tricks: Shake It - when you tell him to "shake it" he shakes his head really fast then his body soon follows.

Arrival Story: I saw him on a rescue web site - we went "just to look" - I saw this scrawny, cut up lab with beautiful eyes & wagging tail. I wasn't quite ready to take him (had to get the new fence, etc) but then he jumped in the back of the car and wouldn't get out. I guess he chose me.

Bio: When I saw my mom I knew I found my forever person. I was so excited I ran to try to find a toy to bring to her but there weren't any. I didn't feel so good because I had kennel cough and I was really skinny but I didn't let that stop me. Mom almost started crying cuz she thought she had to wait to bring me home, so I helped her out and jumped into the back of the car. I could hear them trying to get me out but I pretended I couldn't hear anything. That's when my life really began! I love my big yard and I protect it from all those pesky squirrels and those loud hot air balloons. I secretly like chasing them, but I act like they really make me mad. Mom just laughs at me. She doesn't know my background and I am glad I don't remember it - she thinks that I was kept in a kennel and/or a crate and never got any attention because I didn't know how to play or swim.- first time we went swimming, mom had to pull me out of the river cuz I almost drowned. I'm an expert now, I even dive off the dock! It took me awhile to get over my shyness but now I have lots of friends, it's really fun playing. I love all my toys and going places. When I'm at g-mas they always lock the cats up. One of them scratched my nose once but I still think it's fun to play with them. They don't like it so much. I've learned that if you lay on your back, you'll get belly scratches. And if you look at your mommy she'll give you a kiss right between the eyes. She says I'm "The George Clooney of the dog world" - whatever that is - must be something about me being so handsome cuz she always says the two together. It's great being a part of a family who love me and give me tons of attention and take me most everywhere with them. (I'm not so happy when I'm left home - I give my best guilt look but it doesn't work). I'm so lucky I found my forever family and I hope all doggies find theirs too.
