Clicker Boot Camp

My foster mommy starting working on Clicker training with me and my foster sisters. I'm really luvin the first part of the training. All mommy does is click and I get a treat. Click, treat, click treat, click treat over and over again. What could be easier than that? The second part of the clicker training I'm suppose to actually look at mommy before I get the treat. But I sometimes pretend I don't know what she's talking about so we have to go back to the first part of the training over and over again. Do you think she'll catch on to what I'm doing? Baby Mickey is spoiling it and actually almost through with the second part. She'll run to mommy when she's called and she gets a click AND a treat. But I guess since she's such a scared baby that she may deserve to do good. You should try to talk your mommys or daddys into clicker training. It's lots of fun. My mommy said I'm getting trained so I'll be ready for my new home. Well, I'm ready! When do I get my new home?

Gotta go pretend I want to work on training some more.

My big day

My foster mommy stayed home from work the other day and took me and my 2 foster sisters to the dog park. Woo hoo. Let me tell you, we had soooo much fun. We ran and ran and played. There were so many dogs there and I got along with all of them. My favorite was Abby, she was a Whippet/Pit mix and she could run really fast. I chased her all over the park, but never could catch her. If you're thinking of adopting me, we need to find a dog park near my new home because I really like that.

Another week gone

Well, it's been another week and I'm still at my foster home. What's a guy got to do to get a home? I've only had 1 adoption app on me and it didn't turn out to be the right home for me. I'm still here and waiting for my own home. Everyone thinks I'm very cute, so I don't understand why no one wants me. The thought of not having my own home makes me too sad to write much in my diary this week.

My foster mommy has three other dogs besides me. And I like playing with all of them, but one of them doesn't like me all the time. I really don't understand what I did to Bones to make him not like me. I can't help it that I'm happy all the time. That's just me. So, let me tell you what happened. The other evening I was dancing around and just being happy to be alive. Well, I accidentally bumped into Bones. I guess he was just extra grouchy that day(he gets like that sometimes). So, he got really mad at me and was barking and growling and biting at me and pinned me to the floor. I'm not ashamed to admit that I was pretty scared and started crying. After all Bones is very big. But Mommy made him stop and then she took me in the other room and checked me all over for boo boos. I have one boo boo on my head, but it wasn't too bad. Mommy cleaned it up and gave me extra kisses and cuddles to make it feel better. That did make me feel all better and I went back to dancing through the house. But I stayed away from Bones the rest of the night. He got put in time out for being mean to me and boy that made him even madder at me. I love having Bones as a big foster brother and I try to let him know that by cuddling up next to him to sleep each night. It's nice to cuddle up to him because he's so big and strong. I just wish he liked me ALL the time. I really really hope that my furever home has a big brother or sister that will like having a happy baby brother. Because I like everyone so I think everyone should like me too.

Mr. Manners

I think I have finally master "sit". But it's really really tough. Because I know that there are treats hidden in my foster mommy's hand. And if I sit like a good boy when she tells me to, I'll get a treat. I finally get the treat, but there's a whole lot of wiggling going on before I get it. I can't wait until I get to my furever home so I can show them all the new tricks or as mommy says, manners that I've learned. If you want a really good doggie you better hurry and take me home before you miss out.

The quest begins

Look I'm famous. I have my very own Dogster page. Wooohoooo. My foster mommy made me a Dogster page so I can find my very own family to love me and play with me and spoil me rotten like I deserve. She told me I have to tell all the nice people all about me so everyone will know what a great dog I am. I'm almost a year old and my foster brother and sisters told me that I'll get to have my very own party if I'm still here for my birthday. YAY! I can't wait, I love treats.

Ok, so back to learning a little more about me. I was in an animal shelter in some place called South Carolina. It was scary there for me. I was stuck in a little cage all day and very few people came by to love on me. There were lots and lots of other dogs there, and it was very noisy with everyone barking. And can you believe that I didn't even have a bed to sleep on? Yep, I had to sleep on the floor.

Since I had to spend so much time in the shelter I'm having to learn all these things that my foster mommy calls manners. I've only been in my foster home for about a month and I've learned how to ring the bells on the door when I have to go outside. And I'm learning how to sit. And that's really hard. Because I know that my foster mommy has treats in her hand and I get all excited and start wiggling around and I can't sit still for very long. And I'm working on shake and high five now. Oh, and I love to run. But mommy says I don't really run, it's kind of like a bounce and a gallop that I do. And it makes her laugh. I hope someone reads this and falls in love with me and I get a furever home soon.
