 Quick Bio:

Likes: Being held and snuggling. He loves to wrestle with Lily Pad. He is a TUGGER!! Go get a rope and let's tug!! He likes camping, riding the Harley, and Auburn tailgating!! WAR EAGLE!!

Pet-Peeves: So far, we haven't found any. We'll update as any become available. Update: three weeks later and still, nothing seems to bother him! 359 days later--we have found one: He does NOT like the remote control helicopters his furless brothers fly!!!

Favorite Toy: A chew bone that Spike sent to Lily Pad, and his tugging rope!

Favorite Food: Artemis brand for small breed, mixed with a little cheese or scrambled egg!

Favorite Walk: Anywhere his family goes. He is great on a leash. He literally prances as if he is saying, "look I have a leash and a family attached to it!"

Best Tricks: Getting my husband to agree to another dog! Also, he has started agility classes and seems to be a natural!!!

Arrival Story: My adult daughter, her husband, and I went to the local animal shelter to "just look." This was on New Year's Eve, 2007. There he was in the pen, a scruffy terrier mix. He put his front paws on the cage, stretched, and looked at me as if to say, "I was wondering when you would get here." We took him out of his pen to "just meet." All he wanted was to be held and kept warm. The shelter director was nice enough to let us take him across the road to meet my husband. "Scruffy" did his magic on his new dad-to-be. We talked to the director of the shelter and she said that he was not available for adoption until the 2nd of January. I said that I would be glad to take him home and keep him warm (we were having a real cold snap) during the New Year Holiday until the 2nd. She was obviously a soft touch--after 30 seconds of deliberation she said okay! Luckily, when we returned on the 2nd he was adoptable and we filled out the papers!

Bio: Scruffy had been turned in as a stray, so we don't know anything of his background. He is a sweetheart! He is a real Ladies' Man. If a new woman is around, he must meet her and work his charm on her!!

Our Fambily had a special weekend just this past weekend. We celebrated with furless family, furfamily, and friends. We all met at our tailgating spot in Auburn--War Eagle!! We celebrated my brother-in-law's arrival home from Iraq! It was so good to see him...he'd been gone a long time. Lily Pad and I had special shirts to wear in his honor! Also on the celebration agenda was a baby shower for our sister and same brother-in-law. They are having a furless in January. Our brother (Bailey and Aubrie's dad) was there with his girlfriend. Our udder brudder and girlfriend were there, too, along with Mason and Dixon (aka the Beagle Brothers).
The next day was Halloween and the Auburn game. Auburn won!! War Eagle! I got to snuggle in laps while the game progressed--except the yelling occasionally woke me up! Halloween was cool too--I got to wear my blinking Halloween t-shirt (LP had to wear a bumblebee costume...snicker).
The day we left was the pawrents annifursary. We all ate lunch together before the furless kids left. What fun!
I have been resting since Sunday. I am exhausted!!

It has been a very busy month. It's a good thing my mom retired so we could do all these important things. I have been an EXCELLENT War Eagle tailgater!! I have been to four games in a row and have had a blast. I made new dawg friends while tailgating and had fun with my dawg cousins. The food has been wonderful, too.
LP, mom and I just returned today from a two night camping trip, just the three of us. We had a great time...sleeping, walking, reading, napping, eating, walking, etc!!!! I didn't know my little legs could walk so far! I guess if LP's short legs can, mine can too!! BOL!!
It was a great month....can't wait to see what October brings!!

Well, I am home from a week of camping!! I am exhausted!! Lily Pad and I took many walks with the "big dogs," barked at squirrels (LP did more barking than me, of course), and got to go boating in our furless brother's fishing boat!! We had so much fun! I got to chew several rawhides and buried even more! Life is good!
