Arrival Story:
Simon came into the Oakland Animal Shelter back when it was still in the old, stinky, dark building. He was 6 months old, covered in auto grease, shook like a leaf and flattened himself to the ground when we took him outside for a meet-n-greet. Someone mentioned that he "had issues," which didn't really register to me as a problem at the time. Good thing. We fell in love and came back to visit him everyday until we could take him home. The minute he walked into our house, he turned into Happy Man and forgot all about his shaking leaf routine.

Bio:
Simon is still in denial about being surrounded by so many pit bulls, which is probably a good thing. He's a bit of a Wimp, but somehow maintains top dog status in the house. He's got an incredible amount of soul and knows how to read our moods like the morning paper. Our favorite way to enjoy Simon is gazing into his eyes when he broadcasts his heavy love vibe. And to watch him gentle his high-drive self down for tiny kids who ask to greet him. He's "soft like a bunny" and counts humans 3' and shorter as some of his favorite people.
