The Tail of the Dragon

Ok, well mommy wants me to tell you this story but it's really embarassing. My favorite toy since Pinky the flamingo died has been my baby dragon. Well one day dragon and I had this terrible argument about who would be the best presidential canidate. Well we just couldn't see eye to eye so I ate his tail. Yes, I know a bit extreme but I ripped his 8 inch by 3 inch tail from his backside and swallowed it whole. That's really not the embarassing part. Mommy got mad and told me I could have made myself sick so she was a little mad at me. Well that was until she went in the yard, and I can't believe I am telling you this but, she went in the back yard and found that stupid dragon's tail. It was in a nice pile I had left still intact, but compressed into the shape of that stinky stuff that comes out of my butt. According to her I am a very lucky boy. I hate that she is making me write this embarassing diary entry. I guess it's my punishment. Oh well, could be worse I guess.......

R.I.P. Pinky the Flamingo

It happened today. Mommy took my pink flamingo and buried him in the thing that all the good stuff goes into, she calls it the garbage. Yes, it's my fault I ripped the suffing right out of him. It was so tasty though. She caught me with a big chunk of it in my mouth and instead of doing what I am supposed to do when she says "Leave it!" I ran and swallowed it whole. She says I'm gonna have a tummy ache, but I don't care because it was sooooo yummy! The only bad thing is, I miss my big pink friend. She says she is not getting me another one, but I will keep bugging her until she does!! Woof at you guys later!

New Tricks!!

Well somehow or another my Mommy got me to do two new tricks yesterday. I don't know how she does it, but she gets me to do the silliest things. The first thing I learned was how to shake paws. She says shake and I hand her my paw. She said something about now we have to learn left and right, but I don't know what she is talking about so I guess I will keep everyone posted. The other thing is too horrible to talk about but I will tell you anyway. She tells me to "Leave it" and holds a yummy treat in front of my nose and expects me to not try to eat it! Is she crazy?! Well the only way I get that yummy treat is if I act like it is not there so in about 10 minutes I learned that. Now Mommy says she is going to put treats on the floor in front of me and I have to leave them there too!! I don't know why she would need to teach me this, but apparently it is to get me to stop eating chunks of mud in the road. Every time I find a delicious chunk of mud and gravel she says "Leave it" and I have to walk away. It's tough, but at least she gives me a treat for being such a good boy. Busted!

I love my mommy. She tried to cover for me by patching the wall. Well the only spackle in the house was the kind that starts off pink and turns white when it's dry. Well, it was still pink when Papa got home so Mom told him that she accidentally hit the wall with the thing that sucks up the dirt on the floor. Well Papa didn't buy it, so she said she got hungry and chewed a hole in the wall. He asked her why she would do that and then he started laughing, so I guess I am not in too much trouble!! I think Papa was just happy that Mommy fixed it and he didn't have to.

Mommy is in trouble!!

Well, I always tell Mommy, don't turn your back on me 'cuz I am always one step away from trouble! She didn't listen and I ate a hole in a wall. It was one of those times when I was being really quiet, when I am really quiet, I am getting into trouble. Everyone knows that! That is why I wonder why Mom didn't catch me sooner. Papa is in NY working right now, so Mom is going to try and fix it before he comes home. Good Luck Mommy!! I wanted to help her, but she said I would just make a bigger mess. Hmm, I hope Papa doesn't read my diary or Mommy will be busted! Well it's time for my walk, woof at ya later!

Puppy Social

Well I just went to my second puppy social at my vet's office. It was so much fun! The first week I was a little scared and hid under a bench but this week, I was the life of the party!! I totally ignored my mom the whole time we were there. Well, I checked on her a couple of times and can you believe she was petting other puppies?!?!? So I cheated on her and got pets and treats from other puppy moms. It was so much fun. If you have never heard of a puppy social it is a safe place where your mom or dad takes you to play with other healthy puppies. It's so much fun!!! Mom says I was snoring on the way home, but I think she was lying!!! Anyway, I met some cool pups and I hope they will all be there next Friday! Well, gotta go chase Domino, my kitty brother, see ya later!

Wow! I can't believe I weigh that much!

Well yesterday I went to see my favorite vet again in Mt. Juliet. Mom loves vet day because she says it gives her a break, because I am always calm there and I fall asleep on the way home because those shots make me tired!! Anyway, she was quite surprised to learn that in three weeks I had gained 10 pounds!!! I now weigh 27 pounds and I am just 12 weeks old!! The Doctor says I am going to be a big boy and I may get over 100 pounds. I guess that is because us Euro bred dobies are bigger than our American cousins. It's all ok because the only shows I want to be in are obedience and agility trials. Iam a good frisbee dog too, but mom can't throw very well, so unless she gets better I guess I won't be giving the border collies a run for their money on the frisbee field. Well, it's time for my morning walk down to the creek. I hope there is still a layer of ice on it!! It tickles my nose!
