splashing around in streams and puddles, getting chased by an alpha dog at the park, likes to snatch up big sticks on walks and proudly carry home (we have quite a collection)

kong on a rope, any cheap toy from petsmart that squeaks (life expectancy 5 min. tops)

eats everything, but behaves superbly for Dick Van Patten's dog sausage treats

trails/woods with lots of streams and lakes
Best Tricks:
when desparate for a game of fetch, he will find some small piece of something (usually leather or string) and entice you into a game
Arrival Story:
I broached the subject of a dog with my partner relentlessly over a period of months, but he remained firmly against it. Until one day he returned from a day hike and made the mistake of revealing his fancy for two chocolate labs he met on the trail. I jumped on it. The next day we went to visit the last pup left in a litter, a 3 mo. old chocolate. Moments later he was wisked away with us. It was love at first sight for us. We think he's a pretty happy guy, too.
Bio:
Arlo has always snored like a grandpa, even when he was just a little pup. Arlo was bitten by another dog on just two occasions before he was 1 yr old. Both were German Shepherds, both took a chunk out of his nose. He likes to poke his nose in everything. But he still likes German Shepherds just fine.
