Arrival Story:
Rufus came from the shelter. He was just SO cute, how could I not bring him home and then find him the PERFECT forever home?! He originally was purchased from a "breeder" by a family who THOUGHT they wanted a puppy. After 2 days of puppy peeing in the house and the puppy nibbles to the fingers, they decided they were NOT puppy people. When the "breeder" did not return phone calls, Rufus was dumped at the shelter. Rufus is just another poster child for the fight against backyard breeding. The "breeder" did NOT do enough to ensure that the placement was a good one, and thus potentially could have cost Rufus his life!
