She loved to go for rides in the car (especially to grandma and grandpa's house), visiting her neices Honey and Molly, and eating. Doesn't matter what the food is she was always hungry! Don't forget the tummy rubs!
She didn't like the telephone, the vet, her insulin shots for her diabetes, baths, vacuum cleaner, the stove, strangers, or being left at home alone
A stuffed bear.
Her allergy dog treats - Nature's Recipe Venison Treats
She loved to walk anywhere but especially loved to walk in Petsmart.
We got Maggie from the animal shelter 4 days after Christmas. She was so little and cute. She must have been the runt of the litter since she was born with cataracts that we had removed, had awful allergies to almost everything and in February 2004 she developed Diabetes. You would have never known that she had Diabetes since her insulin helped her and she seemed as healthy as any other dog. She was a very good baby and we love her no matter what!
My baby, Maggie, passed away 4/24/06. She was perfectly fine that Thursday and we went for our regular walk and Friday was fine and ate all of her dogfood like she always did and was still fine that Saturday morning, but Saturday evening she started vomiting and Sunday morning my stepdad had the vet to meet him and he gave her an IV and some pills to stop the vomiting. She still did not want to eat anything and just wanted water...I guess since she was Diabetic. The vet wanted her to come back on Monday morning, so my mom took her in and he started giving her fluids since she was dehydrated. My poor baby looked awful...she was so skinny looking from not being able to keep anything down. I cried and was worried about her all day Monday. The vet finally called that afternoon and admitted to not knowing enough about diabetes to continue to care for her and recommended another vet which we then made an appointment with, but Maggie was going to stay at that vet Monday night to keep getting fluids til we got her to the other vet on Tuesday. The vet called that night at 11:30pm and said she was gone...it just happened so fast. She was perfectly fine that Friday and even Saturday morning...I just can't believe it. My mom said maybe her kidneys had shut down. My baby was only 7. She was my everything! I am still so sad. I just miss her sweet little face so much! She will always be my best friend and my dear sweet little girl.
