Arrival Story:
I bought Lucas from a breeder at the tender age five weeks old. Even though I had taken him for all his shots, he developed parvo. He beat it and the people at his vet have always called him their miracle puppy. Lucas will be nine years old in January. He loves to swim and he wears a life jacket to extend his play time. All that fur weighs him down. He pulls me on a trail bike when the weather cools down in Louisiana. He is not my first siberian, so I knew what I was in for. He loved by all who meet him. He is my pride and joy, and I love him dearly.

Forums Motto:
You did come over just to see me.

The Groups I'm In:

Luke:
70 pounds of pure pedigree siberian husky. Never met a child he didn't love. Occassionally, goes to elementary school to demonstrate sled dog traits and that soft, furry, lovability. Knows obedience commands when he feels like. He pulls a mountain bike instead of a sled so he know his mushing commands. Born and raised in Louisiana, loves his seafood and crawfish (its a cajun thing). He talks in that woo-woo siberian language and does say 'I don't want to' while shaking his head to indicate 'no'. There is no one, human or dog like a siberian husky.

Lucas had his special friend (a white bunny) his sleepong bag and food bow.We traveled from southern Louisiana to Indiana and he did better than most children, friends or relatives. He never asked for money, how much further or ' are we there yet'. He hiked through the hills and hollows, and how to look for morel mushrooms (a delicious, rare mushroom, that only grows in certain conditions). He loved the adventures, the long trip and new friends he made. When when we
were about five miles from home, he woo-woo 'd that he knew he was almost home. What a great friend he is; intelligent, gentle, loving and handsome.

I had bought Lucas as a five week old puppy. I took him to the vet to get his initial puppy innoculations. I have owned dogs every single day of my life. My first picture shows my father holding me in one arm and dog in the other with one at his feet. When Lucas was about seven weeks old, he became sick and I knew the symptoms of parvo virus right away. I took him to the vet and he spent almost a week on IV antibiotics. I would come to visit and hold him every day. The staff said he cried each time I had to go before he would settle down. He left his IV site alone as if he knew it was neccessary to save his life. When I could finally brought him home, he still had to take antibiotcs and be fed with a syringe. It was so great when he finally would eat on his own. The picture of him as a puppy was taken when he was three and a half old. He was going with me on a long journey with all his neccessities. Whenever he goes to see his vet, the staff all love up with him. They still call him their miracle puppy. He will turn nine years old on January 18, 2008.
