Bio:
My "fur-ever" parents rescued me from the shelter on December 22, 2007. When the shelter vet checked me over, they released me early with the promise that I would come back to get spayed after the Holidays. The first available appointment would be later in January '08. When the time came for me to go to the Doctor's, I was told that I was in "heat" (no, I was not) and would have to come back when I was out of heat...or pay additional fees for the procedure. While waiting for the time to pass-and much to everyone's surprise, I gave birth to 7 beautiful puppies on February 6, 2008!!!! Counting back 60-64 days worth of gestation, I was preggers before I found myself in the shelter. Although they say they would've taken me home anyway, I wish my new family had known I was pregnant before I was adopted. My family is happy that I'm a new mommy, but now they'll be faced with finding homes for my babies when they're old enough. Update - April 29th. Hurray, my babies are finally old enough to be adopted to good homes. Update - June 18th. Thankfully, all of my babies have been placed in excellent homes! Update - I'm spayed, whew!
