Will I ever get a home?

My incredible Journey!

I am now with my new dad! I've been on quite the adventure, let me tell you!

It all started after I didn't get adopted at the shelter. My foster mom, Emily, was uncertain of my future, she couldn't keep me forever, but she didn't want to give up on me. She almost had to make the decision to put me to sleep.

Then James stepped in. James and his wife, Melodie contacted Emily and said they would love to try and help me. That was in Feburary. The wonderful people at the forums of www.idog.com were all pulling for me. One member knew a transport coordinator, so she put Emily in touch with her.

That is when the ball started rolling! The coordinator set up the legs, and sent out e-mails. Eventually, all the legs were filled. All 13 of them!! They were filled just in the nick of time too. We almost didn't know if we'd have enough people.

I left out on my great adventure Saturday, March 12, 2005 when Emily drove me just outside of Alabaser, Alabama. I was picked up and taken to Cullman, Alabama and from there I went to Brentwood, Tennessee. From Brentwood, I went on to Sunnyhill, Tennessee to Oakland, Tennessee, where I spent the night. On Sunday morning, I traveled from Oakland to St. Louis, Missouri; from St. Louis to New Florence Missouri. From there I went to Lamine, Missouri then to Topeka Kansas where I was picked up by James!

From Topeka, I will travel all the way to Colorado where I will live. I am so happy to have been given a third chance at life! I feel great!

Thank you to everyone that helped out with this incredible task. Cyber hugs to all!

I need a home!

Hi all, Ernie here.

I am in urgent need of a home. My foster mom is very upset at the thought of having to have me put to sleep. I really don't know what that means, but I don't like when she is upset.

She says she loves me, but can not keep me. Because if she keeps me, then she won't be able to help any other homeless doggies like I was. She doesn't think it would be fair to me, to her, or to the homeless doggies that don't even get a chance at life. I have had a great life here, but I am a bit naughty at times. It is only because there are so many other doggies here to play with that I get distracted easily! My foster mommy does not have the time to spend with all of us individually very often.

I love it here, but I want to know what it feels like to be a true pet! I want to have a home that I can call my own, have my own bed and my own human. Most of all, I don't want to see my foster mom upset because I don't have a home to call my own.

Please contact my foster mom if you may be interested in me. I am an adorable little guy. I may just look like an average medium sized mutt, but really, you've got to look at the inside as well. I'm something special!

Well, my adoption didn't work out. I just didn't get along with the existing dog. We had some jealousy issues going on. My new dad tried to keep me, but he was afraid I would hurt my doggie sister. I would do great in a home with no other dogs or with a dog or dogs that is bigger than me. I do great and love to play with all my foster doggie siblings. They are all bigger than me, though. Isn't there someone out there for me?

Today is the first day of the rest of my life!

I am getting closer and closer to my forever home. I met my new dad and doggie sister today. Me and Maggie got along pretty good. It is neat how much we look alike. I'm going to be going to my new home this Sunday 10/31/04. I can't wait!

I am going to meet my potential new dad soon. If me and his doggie get along, I'll be going to a permanent home. I am so excited about this I could just burst! I have been waiting for a new home for so long now and thanks to Dogster, I may just have one.

Still here!

Just letting anyone who is interested know that I am still up for adoption. I'm a great dog and just need someone to spend some time with me. My foster mom has her hands full with the eight dogs of her own as well as me and another foster. She loves me, but I really need a home of my own because since I am here, she does not have the space to help any more doggies. That makes me sad because I know there are doggies out there a lot less fortunate than I am.

My foster mom added a link to my petfinder page on my dogster page if anyone is interested in adopting me. I sure hope someone is. I love my foster home, but I need a place of my own. There are so many other dogs here, I want some time for just me! Anyway, please go look at my petfinder page if you are interested. Or if you are interested in a new dog period, please check out petfinder cause there are a lot of dogs out there more needier than me.

I am ready for my new home if anyone will have me! I'm kind of getting a bit depressed because no one has shown any interest in me. I'm a great size, not to big, not to little. I'm not all that bad to look at, I think I'm kind of cute. I love other dogs and I love to play! I am neutered and have all my shots. If anyone is interested in me, let my mom know! Oh, and I'm still young and learning my manners too!
