On Buster's first birthday he started his weight pull career...in back to back pulls he earned his first WWPD and WWPDX legs. His sister Layla wasn't to be left out and she earned the same at those pulls. His brother Vinnie finished his WWPDX title at that pull and took top percentage of body weight pulled, tieing brother Travis for that honor. For their working weight pull dog (WWPD) title they have to pull 12 times their body weight at 4 separate competitions. For their working weight pull dog excellence (WWPDX) title they have to pull 23 times their body weight at 5 separate competitions, place in the top 1/3 of their class, and if 75% of the dogs competing pull their qualifying WWPDX weight, then the pull is disallowed because it's considered too easy. We have an intermediate title called the 'advanced' (WWPDA) which has the same requirements as the WWPDX only they don't have to place in the top 1/3 of their class.
Anyway, Buster finished the WWPD title this fall and has 1 WWPDX leg and a couple WWPDA legs. His mother was a phenom as a young dog, quickly earning her WWPDX title--she earned it before her WWPD! It's nice to see Buster is trying to follow in her pawprints.
