Arrival Story:
UPDATE - April 2008 Maxwell didn't warm up to me. I went to live in North Dakota with Grammy. That didn't work out, either. I now live with my new pack in Pennsylvania! It took a while, but I think this is where I belong. December 2007 My Mom was looking for a new dog to keep Izzy company during the day. This was to be no easy job, seeing as though my predecessor (Pongo) was quite the dog and was very loved. After searching for a few days, she had it narrowed down to a few choices - one of which was yours truly. I was pardoned from doggie death row and exonerated of any and all crimes I may (or may not) have committed on December 21st. It took Izzy awhile to warm up to me. Max is still not too crazy about me... but I am confident I will win him over.

I have a tattoo - do you??

When Mum and Dad met me for the first time in Ohio, they noticed something strange on my lower belly. I have a tattoo! (Dad calls it my prison tat.) Mum and Dad aren't sure why I have this on me and where it came from. Could it be from the Texas shelter that I was in? Did I get it when my family jewels were taken from me? None of the rest of the pack have tattoos and they are all neutered/spayed and came from shelters.

So tell me, do you have a tattoo on your belly or somewhere else? If so, do you know why you have it? Tell us your tat story.

Mum's going to try and get a picture of the tattoo to share with those of you on dogster that would like to see it.

Bodhi - an "inked" dog

and now we are 5

We got a phone call on Saturday that someone wanted to come see Sandy (the dog that we have been trying to find a home for). Mum was all excited and told them to come right over (Dad was a bit hesitant).

A Mom, Dad and 10 year old son came to see her. She was very nice to them - did everything right (SO Sandy). Mum and Dad asked them questions - know where they live and were assured that Sandy would be kept inside and would be allowed to sleep with the son. Mum made sure that they kept our phone number in case things don't work out for them and Sandy - we would take her back. Dad is a little sad that she's gone - Mum is happy to have the house back to "normal".

Oh yea - while the people were here to see Sandy, any guess where the rest of the pack was??? We were shut in the house! Left alone while Sandy was permitted outside......that didn't made the rest of us very happy and we let anybody that was within ear shot know.

We pray that Sandy has truly found her furever home!

We got it!

Well, it seemed like a VERY long day today. Mum and Dad finally got home and took their time getting the box out of the truck from Sunny Lee (my sweetheart!)

Mum put the box on the ground outside and we all gathered around to smell it. We liked what we smelled and wanted it opened. Dad had to help Mum open the box with us all jumping for what was inside. I quickly grabbed a green squeaking frog and took off across the yard! We got 2 more squeaky toys, a red ball, a denta kong and toys for the cats. We knew there was more in the box - sump'in that smelled edible, but Mum put the box away. Hey - those are ours! Come back here with my stuff! Okay, okay....we'll play with what we have for now and look forward to the pigs ears later (I know they are pigs ears cuz Sunny Lee told me!) BOL!

Thank you Sunny Lee and family! Luv ya!
