Arrival Story:
When we were living in upstate New York, near Fort Drum, my husband wanted to get a dog for the family. I went onto the web and found an ad for a free Australian Cattle dog with champion parents, but who could not be AKC certified due to a small physical flaw. We drove to Lake George (a 4 hour drive) and picked up the newest addition to our family.

Addie Jean is VERY protective of the family, especially her daddy. If my husband and I wrestle around, she will start nipping at me. On New Year's Eve 2004, she got out of our yard in Watertown, NY and got hit by a car. Her left hip was dislocated but otherwise, she was fine. She enjoys camping and loves to play with the fish that we catch, but she does not like to play in the water.
