Arrival Story:
Moose somehow ended up in the local shelter (it appears he'd gotten lost in a flood a few counties over). I went to the shelter every day after work to 'hang out' with him during the waiting period. The day he became available for adoption I got there 20 minutes before the shelter opened - the staff knew how badly I wanted him, they even let me in early!!
