 Quick Bio:
 Birthday: June 20th 2003
Likes: Rides in the car, snoozing, running zoomies around the yard, chasing the ball (but not retrieving it), going to Bark Park

Pet-Peeves: Loud noises, yelling, peeing in the rain, marching bands and sirens in a parade

Favorite Toy: Pretty much whatever her sister Nova happens to be playing with at the time

Favorite Food: Anything and everything edibly, she is a total hog.

Favorite Walk: Orion Oaks dog park, she's not really interesting in going for walks

Best Tricks: High Five, Shake, Roll Over, Jump, and Dance. She also does this funny jump straight up in the air when she's excited, she jumps straight up in the air a few feet off the ground, and the whole house shakes.

Arrival Story: My first Dane Zira was a rescue and died shortly after routine spay surgery. I knew I had to have another Dane but a different color than Zira. When I got back from the vet after she died in August 2003 I had an email waiting from a breeder I had been in contact with in Western Michigan. She had one Blue Dane female left, with white markings. We didn't think we were ready for a new dog so soon, but after speaking with the breeder we found out that the pup was born the day we brought our wonderful Zira home (she was 2 and was only with us about 3 months). That was enough for us to believe that this sweet little girl was meant for us. We brought her home a week after Zira died and she is definitely like a child to us.

Bio: Emmy is a very calm, loving, affectionate dog with soulful eyes. She started out as a "teacup" Dane, very petite and svelte with a shiny coat. Now that she is almost 6 she is a little on the Tubby side. She is often mistaken for a Greyhound (even in her tubby state!) or Weimaraner, in fact we have been wanting to make her a "No, I'm NOT a Weimeraner" t-shirt for walks. You can not utter the words "walk" or "ride" without Emmy's wide eyes suddenly appearing and guilt-tripping you into dropping everything to go for a walk-ride. A typical Dane, her major role in the household is to keep the sofa occupied. Danes sure love to be comfortable. She does enjoy playing although has some very quirky hangups and phobias. Despite her size she is super gentle with children and all other dogs. She used to be active in agility, still a beginner but a clunked her head on a tunnel once and freaked out and never was willing to go back.
