Arrival Story: Bear was born into our family along with 9 other little black dots, as they were then. We sent some to some loving families but Bear, Sam and Holly stayed with us with their Mummy, Gemma and their Daddy, Diesel. He outlived all his family loosing Diesel first, then Holly, Sam and Gemma. Sam and Gemma passed away with in 3 weeks of each other, leaving Bear and the age of 8, a lonely forlorne pup. We then adopted Lily, Molly and Jessie to keep him company. He survived to the grand age of 10yrs and 10 days. I miss him so very much and I am extremely happy I have his son, Kuma to keep the saddness at bay. Bear was a true gentleman and a gentle man.

Bio: Bear was the gentlest dog I have seen, to the point of letting baby ducks and chicks eat from his dinner bowl whilst he ate. He was a large and proud dog, but his heart was pure gold. He also had a soft spot for our cat Sooty and I would often find them cuddled together. Sooty misses her guardian and has turned to Kuma, who has taken on the role very seriously. They were harmony to see.
