An Old Friend Went to the Bridge this Week

Lost my old friend, Baylee this week. Baylee departed peacefully with her Mom by her side. I was thinking of Baylee on Halloween, this is her birthday and she turned 9! I know Baylee is at peace, along with my 'sister' Scarlett and Simba, Baylee's sister.

I only met Baylee for a brief time, but I feel for her Mom's loss. I can only guess all 3 of them are having just a wonderful time at the Bridge, waiting for the rest of us!

God Bless them All, they are sorely missed!

A Whole Year Old!!

It was just yesterday when I was born. Where did all the time go?!? I've been having the time of my life. I've met so many different dogs, the more the merrier. We moved this past week and I'm not too sure of Colorado Springs. I was having a great time at the new park when a black Lab tore after me, leaving me with several puncture holes on my side. I'm a little scared now. Don't want to get out of the car. I keep telling myself, it's OK, but I'm just not too sure. Hate to say it, but I kind of wish my Mom would take me back to FL. I know Mom really dislikes it there, but my friends are there and well, let's face it, no one ever attacked me there! I guess I'll give it a little more time. It's really pretty here, Mom is having a hard time breathing and gets dizzy all the time. All in all, I'll give it a little longer. My Birthday was good. Got several treats and a lot pup pal requests.

I'm a year old and I just keep on getting stronger and bigger!!

I'm 11 months old!!

Can't believe another month has passed. Went to see my breeder earlier in September, love seeing my breeder, my 'Grandfather'. He said I have the build of my father. I was 77 pounds before we left for South Carolina and 3 weeks later, I just weigh 79 pounds. Not a whole lot of growing, but at least I do keep growing. When we got home, our home was broken into. Both my Mom and I were not very happy and didn't feel safe. They didn't get anything that belonged to me, but my Mom really got ripped off! Good thing there is insurance. I will be celebrating my 1st birthday in Colorado Springs. I've never seen snow, not sure exactly what it is, but I have heard it is fun! It's a long drive (2010 miles), but I'm kind of a big dog, I'll be OK. Can't wait to find the dog park. Our new home is located at the base of the Cheyenne Mountains!! We can't wait. It is going to be such fun!

Just can't believe it, I'm 10 months old!!!!!

Having a great time at the dog park. My mom and I both were not feeling well in early August. I was sick due to the stagnant water at the dog park. Couldn't believe they didn't close the park. When Mom spoke with other owners, a lot of dogs had gotten sick. Not a good thing. I'm doing fine now. Went to the Veterinarian and a Specialist. I guess they couldn't figure out exactly what I had and it was only a bacterial infection -- go figure!

I'm so happy I'm 10 months old. I weighed 75.5 at my last veterinarian visit. Wow! I remember when Mom brought me home I was only a little over 10 pounds. Glad I keep growing. It's fun and I'm having a great time, all the time and every day.

Had a great 4th of July. I really didn't mind the fireworks. Mom was kind of surprised, but I just laid there and slept. No, I wasn't on tranquilizers!! I was kind of tired from all the packing we did. We won't be leaving FL until September. Mom isn't very happy with this. I just lay back and relax. I love any kind of weather. Although, I'm waiting to enjoy the non-humid weather. It will be nice. Can't wait!

Wow! The time is passing so fast. We should be here for about 2 more weeks. I am so excited about the move. My Mom is too.

My Mom has been packing, packing, packing. I'm glad I don't have to do that. I just lay around and go to the dog park! I am having a bunch of fun. Tomorrow, I'll meet up with my buddies at Anderson Park. My Mom is hoping she gets done with her packing this weekend. I hope she does too. I don't really like it when she doesn't have a lot of time for me.

Went to the Veterinarian on Monday morning and then again on Monday afternoon. I was in Home Depot, got bored and started swinging my leash around. Oops! I did have a wart on my face (I'm so young!!!) and it split in half. Mom brought me to the Doctor, he fixed me for the night and had me come back in the next morning to have them removed. I wouldn't stay still so my Doctor needed to give me a mild sedative. I was up and ready to go when Mom got me. Bounching off the walls!

We did go to the park. I feel so much more pretty having those warts off of my face. My Doctor had said they would probably fall off when I got to CA, I guess I just didn't want them on me anymore. Bye, bye warts!!

Boy! I had a busy week.

Went to the doctor with my Mom then we needed to go to the foot doctor. That was sort of fun, there were a lot of things there that I shouldn't of chewed on, but I did. My Mom got a new car so no more beach for me! It's OK. There is an old lady there who drinks and drives and it not only scares me, I know my Mom is scared. Mom's one dog was killed by a drunk driver. This just isn't safe. We just go to the regular dog park and I, of course, still have a blast. I always have fun, wherever I go.

We're getting more and more excited, our apartment is all set in CA and we should leave here in 3 weeks.

I'm glad I ride in the car well. It would not be a lot of fun if I got car sick!

Today was a fun day! I went to the Veterinarian today and was weighed. Nothing else. I weighed in at 60.6. My goodness, how I have grown.

Of course, went to the beach again tonight and had a blast. I always find someone to play with.

Tomorrow, according to my Mom, we enter into Hurricane season. Never seen one of them before, although my Mom has. Hope I dont'.

I'm having such a great time playing at the beach each night. Mom stops at Starbucks to get an Iced Tea. I just wish she would get me to the beach!!

More next week.

Kind of tired from the beach tonight. Met some more new friends.

I'm so very happy. My Mom got some great news today! We are on our way to CA!!!!!!! We should be out there in 40 - 45 days. My Mom is so very happy, I'm a little nervous. I've never been there but my Mom keeps telling me I'll love it. I'm young, I know I will bounce back. It's just that I'm having so much fun right now, going to the beach everynight. My Mom said we could take a trip to the Bay every couple of weeks. OK, I'm excited too. The trip will be fun and I can't wait to view the United States. The only trip I've taken was from South Carolina to Florida. I was very young so I don't remember anything about that trip. This one I'll be older for and I know I will remember a lot!

I've had an exciting week!

Friday night we went into Target. It was pretty fun. I got some new Piglet's. Was running a little low.

The beach has been so much fun. Running, playing in the water and sand, taking walks to the shell trail. My Mom has been busy too. Today, we went into Wal-Mart. My first time in Wal-Mart. First, we went into the bank, then Wal-Mart and then we stopped at Long John Silver for lunch. Mom loves that place. I think it's my favorite now too.

People has been very nice to me. I'm still a baby so when I act a little funny, they don't seem to mind as much. I know, this will only last a little while.

I start class Monday night. This will be my third class and I just get so excited about going to school. It's a sub-novice class so I know it will be harder.

Tomorrow my Mom will go to the movies to see Sex and the City. The movie is kind of long, so I won't go with. I'll be OK. I know Mom will come back for me, and then take me some place fun.

We got some good news from CA today. I know Mom can't wait to leave. I'm looking forward to the new adventures I will experience.
