I've had a wonderful time. As I've stated before, we go to the dog park each morning, unless it is raining. I know I wouldn't mind going but my buddy (Jesse) doesn't like getting wet. I don't know, I enjoy it. It's kind of like a bath, but getting wet this way is my choice.
We celebrated my Mom's birthday earlier this month. I just love to celebrate. There is always good food for me to have.
I've met a bunch of new friends. Really enjoy being able to play when I go out. There is always someone out, ready to play and have a good time. We go into the Office and I visit with the people in there. They are really very friendly to me. There are always snacks for me to have and today, I got to experience nuts. My Mom feeds the squirrels and I just love those raw, unsalted peanuts. The problem is the squirrels love them too and I think they give me dirty looks when I help myself to 'their' nuts. It's fiber and isn't fiber good for you? I like to stay nice and trim and as my Mom always says, "she just can't be my 'daughter', there isn't an ounce of fat on her body". Gee, I hope this isn't true!!BOL
I'm a day late in writing this month. We've been busy and yesterday just got away from us. We're upgrading our apartment on the 1st so next month we'll be in a larger home. Ahhh, more room for my toys......
Twenty-one months! This is great. I'm having such a wonderful time. This weekend I am staying with a friend while his Mom goes out of town. I just love having a live-in friend. This makes the days seem much shorter.
We sent to the Veterinarian earlier this month, and of course, I tested negative for Heartworm. Everything else was good also. I really like my Veterinarian's office. Everyone there is always so nice. My buddy, 'Buggs' has a heart murmur. He used to be so much fun when I would go before. Buggs is the only cat that I can tolerate. He's kind of like a live play toy. He's still meowing along and I'm glad.
We picked up our pictures earlier in the month. Most of them are posted on my Dogster page. Just really like getting my picture taken. Also, when I get my picture taken, we usually go to Build-a-Bear and I get a new stuffed (not for long) animal. The people in Build-a-Bear enjoy seeing me and they make me feel so very welcome. Just about everyone is happy to see me. The wait staff at Chili's enjoys seeing me, I usually get a bowl of water and of course, snacks. Really like the fact that my Mom doesn't eat a lot of stuff I can't/won't eat. The only place we won't go into is Quizno's. They refused me entrance. Can you believe that? Me!! The owner didn't want to let me in. (I was wearing my vest, although in FL a Service Animal doesn't need to wear a vest) Mom filed an ADA complaint against this location. The last time we went to Outback, it wasn't as nice as previous trips. The wait staff kept coming back and starring at me. This made my Mom very uncomfortable There are plenty of places we can go and be treated fairly!
I feel those 'bad' times are behind us. There are still a lot of uneducated people out there but we try and stay clear.
Well, enough about my life for this month. Till next time.
This is great. I am 20 months old, each day just keeps on getting better and better. Each day always brings new fun for me. I start each day by going to the dog park with my buddy Jessie. He's a blue Doberman and we get along so well. Going back to the doctor this week, I need the heartworm medication. I'll probably need to get a blood test. The first time, I was just a baby. Now I'm a big girl. Mom feeds the squirrels and I like eating the peanuts too. They're great and I enjoy chasing the squirrels. They think they're so slick. I'm experiencing life to it's fullest and again, things just keep on getting better and better.
