Arrival Story: Spike was the largest of his siblings and noboby wanted him because they all said he was too large for a Miniature Schnauzer. They also said he was mean. He is not mean. He's a very loving little fellow. Spike came all the way from Beaumont, Texas to Lafayette, Louisiana. Update on 3/28/2009: In reviewing Spike's AKC registration I discovered his pawrents lived in Ingleside, TX; his father's name is Buckie and his mother's name is Yentl Die Schonste Dame and Spike came to live with us on December 4, 1999. His registration name is "Spike the Spiderman."
Bio: My human sibling calls me "Robo-dog." Mom calls me a ham if she's home when I start making roo-roo sounds at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. every day. That's because I expect my Greenie and Beggin' Strip treats to be on time!! Don't they eat on time?? They sure do, so give me my treats every day and I will be a happy camper. If I'm ignored I'll run around making huffing and puffing noises and my roo-roos get louder until I get my treats!!!
UPDATE: My fursis Miracle was diagnosed with AIHA in August 2008 and it quickly took her away from us. It stands for Auto Immune Hemolytic Anemia. It is a serious and often fatal blood disease in which the body attacks its own red blood cells. Pawlease consider donating just a dollar to help find a cure for this horrific disease. To do so just visit another fur who lost her life to AIHA long before we knew what it was. Her name is Mica and she is helping raise money to find a cure: mica-the wonderpup. Just donate a $1 for this worthy cause. It's been approved by Dogster. Please do it for Miracle. We love and miss her terribly.

Wowsa....I'm a diary pick today. Lately mom says I've had plenty to bark about too, but mostly at Smokey, who still likes to come to our front door. I'm not sure if she's looking for some more of that good food mom was feeding her or if she's teasing me!!
Thanks to all my furiends for giving me steaks, baseballs, fireworks, flags and beach balls it's been a pawesome day. I'm all ready for the 4th of July, except for the fireworks. I hate fireworks.
Pawlease vote for my furiend Bella's in the Luv My Pet Contest. This is the same contest Scooter won earlier this year and we all got Kongs at Petco!!! You can find Bella's photo on page four.
Well....it looks like the little gray kitty now has a permanent home. The neighbors decided to take her in. Yippeee!!! They've got two young children who are now calling kitty "Smokey." Well...she does have smokey coloring, but isn't Smokey a boy's name??? Mom is just relieved that she is no longer homeless. Aaarrooooo!!! Aaarrroooooo!!!
Mom's been watching a lot of the tributes to Michael Jackson. Most furs know mom is a gigantic country music fan, but she liked MJ too....especially the Thriller and Billie Jean songs. She said he was a great man and now I really wuf him even more since mom told us he had a big heart for the animals....not just doggies, but the exotic types and all. We know right now he is up there reunited with all his long gone furs and most likely entertaining hoomans and all the angel furs!!
We still have the little cute kitty hanging around our house looking for a good home. Mom feeds her two times a day, but we still won't let her come in our house. Mom calls us bad doggies, but she don't understand we're just being protective of our turf!! We know some doggies wuf kitties and that Sheba would have welcomed her here too, but not us. We are typical Schnauzers just tuning into our natural instincts!!! Mom said if we grew up with a kitty we would probably be nicer. I hope she finds kitty a home so she will stop calling us bad doggies!! Grrrrr!!!
One more bit of news is that I have a winning card in the Pet Post Card Project for the month of May. SHEBA has three and Bella's got one!! Aaarroooooo!!!
