The Prettiest Q Ever, An Authorized Biography

Lots and lots of toys!!

I've had a great couple of days. K was home a lot last week and even yesterday! Dan was home over the weekend too! I love spending time with them!
One of the days K was home she locked herself in a room with lots of boxes and pretty paper. I have no idea what she was doing, but when she came out all the pretty paper was covering the boxes!
Then, one of the days we had guests come over to eat and open up the pretty boxes. I didn't get any of their food, but Carter and I got new Kong toys filled with peanut butter and treats so we were happy! I love peanut butter!
When we all went to open gifts Carter and I got to go first and we got lots of good stuff. We each got one of all of the toys so that we don't have to share. I got a new squeak, Kong, Nylabone, ball, and knot! I lost my knot so I'm so happy that I got a new one! Then Carter and I each got a bacon bone to chew on. Yum! That took me about 1/2 hour to get through.
When they were all opening their pretty boxes sometimes they would say "cute" and I would come running. I guess they didn't really want me, but then why would they say "Q?" I'm so confused! Oh well. Carter didn't finish his bone as quickly as I did so I took it from him. He seemed quite content on the couch with D anyway.
Later that day K & D brought home more things for me. I got a bag of Snausages from someone! I had never had them before but boy are they good! I also got a really big red sock with my likeness on it. I wanted to tear it up, but K said that I would get treats in it every year, so I better not. Carter got one too, but if he doesn't start eating his treats more quickly then I guess that's just more for me!
The rest of the time we just got to play outside a lot. It snowed again and that was nice. K & D had fires almost every night and I like to lay down and warm up. They also played a lot with me since they were home so much. I really like my new knot!!! Carter doesn't really play with his, so that's mine now too!
Yesterday we all got to go on a car ride! Yea! I love the car! We dropped D off at some place called work and then went back home. We went on a long walk and then took a nap with K. That was really nice. The bed is so much bigger when we don't have to share it with D!! Later we went to pick out new dog food and I really like it! It's funny looking triange pieces, but it tastes really yummy!
After play time outside, I came in to lay by the fire. Carter kept laying down next to me, but it wasn't so bad. At least he wasn't biting my ears.

I was free!

Ever since I came home, almost 1 year ago, I've had this red thing around my neck. Well, I suppose I look especially beautiful with my collar on, but it can be annoying. Yesterday I was out running around the yard and somehow I got it off! What a wonderful feeling! Unfortunately, it didn't last! When K brought me inside, she noticed right away and started to look for it. My yard is full of trees and leaves and plants, so I was pretty confident that she would never find it, but she did:( It was only a short time, but I will always remember it!

The rest of the night I sat and watched K bake yummy treats. She didn't let me have any though:( She did give Carter and I apples and bananas, but no cookies or sweets. I really like apples. Bananas are OK, but Carter likes them so I take his sometimes.

Because baking was so exhausting, we finally went downstairs to watch the big box and I laid on the couch for the rest of the night. It was very relaxing.

Four days of fun!

Oh what a wonderful weekend! K & D were home for four straight days! It was so great to be able to run around outside instead of being in my crate! They did leave a few times, but never for very long! On Thursday, they left for what they called "Thanksgiving lunch" but then they came home to feed us and left again for "Thanksgiving dinner." Each time they came home with a yummy sauce to pour over our food. They can go to Thanksgivine meals all the time as far as I'm concerned--my Iams tastes much better when it's juicy!

Besides eating great food, it was just nice to have them home. There were several times each day when Carter and I would run around outside and then come back in for a quick nap. It was so much fun! On Saturday the white stuff fell again! Oh how I missed that from last year! I love running around and rolling in it, and if I get thirsty, I can just lick it off the ground! It does get a little chilly after awhile, but the white stuff is much more fun than the green stuff! I don't know why K & D don't like it. They always moan and groan about having to "go out and shovel" but I really don't know what they mean. I think they should roll around in it a bit too and then they might like it more!

It was such a wonderful weekend with my family. I hope that we can do that more often. Especially now that Carter is getting bigger, he is much more fun to play with!
