Arrival Story:
One of my husband's fellow firefighters acquired Ash when he was working for a towing company. He towed someone's car one night and when they found out he was a fireman, they told him to come pick out a pup from the litter of Dalmatians that was just born. He and his wife went to pick out a pup. They were informed that little Ash was going to be put down because she had a cherry eye and they would not be able to make a profit from her. His wife was not going to let that happen and they brought her home that night. Fortunately for us, they have 4 kids and another dog who was beating up poor little Ash (who was named Princess Pepper by the kids). When the call came to ask us if we would like to adopt her, I didn't hesitate. We went to see her that night and took her home the next week. I gave her a more appropriate firedog's name and she's been spoiled ever since! We also had the vet fix her cherry eye and are still appalled to this day that this poor pup almost lost her life because she couldn't turn a profit for a greedy breeder.
Bio:
Ash is very shy around strangers, especially men who wear hats and glasses. We believe she might have been beaten by the breeder since they were going to put her down anyways. Once she warms up to you, she will give you nothing but love and affection. She takes instantly to children and other dogs and loves to play. I smile everytime I look at her and she has brought so much joy to our home. She loves to ride in the firetruck and is always the mascot in our annual parades. I'm so glad she was rescued and became part of our family.

Someone asked if they could be pals with me but my mommy accidentally deleted the request. I'm so mad at her! Grrr. I just might run around the house with her underwear to teach her a lesson! I LOVE getting new pals and I'm so sad I missed out on one. I hope they read this and ask to be my pal again!
