getting people food, playing with his brother, BIG COOKIES!
thunder storms, having his tail touched
licking his humans, tennis balls & Tory's version of fetch (we throw, he runs, we actually fetch)
any human food that comes his way, but Wellness is what he gets most often
the Doggie Park - but now that he's a bit older, short walks on pretty fall days are appreciated!
sit, down, shake (with either paw), roll over (in that order)
Tory and I used to live in NC (I got him from a breeder down there), but moved to CT in 2003. Tory thinks we moved up here so he could have a cooler climate and more snow (all that fur!), but in reality it was because I met his Daddy (who he absolutely adores!) want!)
Tory came from Barrnone Kennels in Apex, NC. He's very big for a sheltie - closer to small border collie size, and around 35 pounds. He looks just like a miniature Lassie, except for the nice sheltie stop in his nose.
Until we got his brother, he always had extra energy... now JD seems to wear him out, and he needs much more time to sleep!
You can see more of my pictures at www.zeilnhofer.com and go to the Tory link (just the Tory link - not the JD link!!!)
Mom's comment - you can see there's brotherly love but sibling rivalry here!

Ok, so Mom's been on a streak lately about "puppy" ... and she's not calling me puppy. Dad said he wants a puppy too, so now they're looking. We looked at a puppy earlier, and he tried to attack me - he growled at me and I didn't like that. Another puppy growled and lunged at me. I just sat there so I wouldn't get hurt!
Then we took a car drive to a lady's house and all the smells made me drool.... lots of drool. Dad said I was becoming a St. Bernard. The lady said it was because there were so many different smells (she had lots of foster dogs, plus ducks and horses) and it was overwhelming my nose. So she brings this puppy out, and he just sits there. At least he didn't lunge at me. I'm a polite dog, so I went over and sniffed him and said hi. He sniffed me. Then he sat there, and Mom and Dad kept paying attention to him, not to me. That's not fair!
Then they put him and me both in the trunk (not really the trunk, Mom has a car with a doggie-trunk where we can both stand up and look out the window). I had to sit next to him the whole time, and he was all nervous. Then we got to the bottom of the driveway (almost home!) and he got sick. What a wuss.
We took a couple days to get used to each other... he's a funny puppy, always hungry and running around. But then we started to check each other out, and now we play. He chases me, I chase him, we try to figure out who's boss (Mom never thought I'd be boss over anyone, but she says I have a fair shake!) So we race around the yard and I knock him down and step on him, and then he knocks me over. Right now it's fair because we're the same size, but Mom keeps saying he's going to get bigger as he grows up.
So being a brother's not so bad... but he gets more food "because he's growwwwing." Silly Mom.
