Arrival Story:
Cowboy had been with us for 5 months & we were totally bitten by the Pug Bug ~ we thought it would be fun to add a fawn female Pug to our family. We looked in our hometown paper & found a litter for sale that included a fawn little girl! She was my Mother's Day / Birthday present :) She was so tiny & so beautiful we all loved her! Both her parents were black & her littermates were all black boys - she was our little Princess. In fact, she had one little white sock on her front paw...just like Cinderella when she got home from the Ball :)
Bio:
We had no idea our time with this little sweetheart would be so short. Wanting to be responsible dog owners, we took her to be spade on July 9, 2001...little did we know that that morning would be our last one with her :( That afternoon, I got a call from the vet telling me that she passed away from complications from anesthesia - he hadn't even started the operation. We were heartbroken!! Even today, over 6 years from her passing, I have tears in my eyes as I type this...I find joy knowing that I will see her again over The Rainbow Bridge! We went to the vet's & held her little body that they had lovingly wrapped in a towel. We took her home & buried her next to our other beloved dog, Bit (an Australian Cattle Dog aka Blue Heeler).
