I Love My "Peeps"

I love my "peeps" they bring me toys,
They love me, and pet me, and make me feel joy!

My "peeps" give me treats, the turkey's the best!
I lay on their beds when I take a rest.

I like to go walking, and to the Dog Park,
they take me there daily and I run and bark.

The "peeps" buy stuffed toys, that I love to destroy,
they laugh at my antics and say "that's my boy!"

I love my "peeps" dearly, with all of my heart,
I love to be with them and not far apart.

Cretos my friend, our angel

It is with a heavy, yet proud heart that I wish to take the time to honor my pack member Cretos. He displayed loyalty, honor, and bravery in protecting and saving the life of his human baby. Cretos, we are all proud of you. Fly with the angels, and we will see you again one day.

Nothing but Everything

According to many people, not much happened today. I got up this morning and took a walk with my mom. Then I came home and took a nap with each of my sisters - snuggled up beside them. Then I had chicken and rice for my dinner. My mom says she is going to take me to play group later where I'll see all my friends. While it may not sound like much...it means everything. I am a member of a family, well taken care of and loved by all.

The skunk

On Saturday my pawrents took me for a last minute walk in the evening. I decided to do some last minute "hunting" and I saw this "kitty". Well I decided to bark at it and tell it to get away, but it sprayed this AWFUL stuff on me! I tried to run away but the smell got on my back. My pawrents took me home; bathed me in tomato juice, then some mixture with baking soda and peroxide, and then vinegar. I had so many baths I am worn out! Today I am going to the groomer to get the rest of it. Warning to my friends, never play with black and white kitties!

A boxer's life is good.

Last night my mom walked me to the creek, and I played until I was nasty and stinky. I had such great fun. THen I came home and played in the hose. That was fun too. My sister had a friend over and I got to sleep with her. I didn't get up until much later. Then this morning my mom took me on a walk in the college field. I got to run in the weeds and dig holes. It was great. Now I have come home and have gone to take another nap. Life is good.

Happy "Gotcha Day" Gussy

Today we celebrate the day that Gus came to live with us and fill our home with joy. He came to his forever home and made our lives so much richer for having him. Every day brings a new happy event or something that makes us smile. We love you Gus. Thanks for choosing us!

The creek

I am really excited. Yesterday I discovered a new play area! A creek! Up 'till now I have been afraid of water....baths included. It was always a major ordeal to get me "smelling pretty." However yesterday Bodie (my bff) and I went for a walk. We kinda ran off from our moms and went exploring and guess what......he ran right into the water. I followed after him and the rest is history. We ran and played, and got nasty dirty, but it was great! I really cooled off and have made a great discovery...water can be fun.

The Earthquake

Early this morning I had a real exciting time. My mom had just gotten up about 5:30 and was fixing her coffee, when the house started to vibrate! I got up and starting barking and ran downstairs. I added a lot of whining and yelping for good measure to make sure everyone woke up. I could sense that something was wrong, and it was my duty to warn my family! They all woke up - my teenage "sisters" and even my dad who works second shift until 2:00 am. They all woke up because they wanted to know what was wrong with me! I was very proud of myself! The earthquake didn't do much - it just messed up some pictures on the wall. However, the news said that earthquakes of this magnitude only happen in Kentucky every 20 years or so. Everybody told me good job, and I got a hot dog from my dad. They all said I was very brave to warn my family.

Snow

This morning when I got up to do my business, I found something wonderful. My mom says it is called snow! I had seen a little bit of it before, but today there was a lot of it. I took off running in that stuff, and it flew everywhere. I stuck my nose in it and threw it up in the air, and then it came down all over me. I ran and ran and ran and ran and had a great time. Later on my sister came out and we played together in it. I hope it stays for a while.

February

Things are going great for me now. My little sister has gotten her driving permit, and when mom takes her out...I go too. I love rides in the car, and my sister is more careful when I am around. I go everyday to the field and play with my friends. I love to chase sticks, eat sticks, and wrestle. I nap all day, and play all night! Life is good.
