Leave a bone for Savannah

Nicknames: Shredder

Sun Sign: Birthday: November 20th 1996
Arrival Story: This is the story of how Savannah got her name My niece picked her up from the Edgerton's, kept her overnight, and then my sister-in-law was going to visit her daughter in Savannah, would bring this puppy back to Eatonton, Georgia with her where my husband and son drove to pick up Savannah when my sister-in-law returned to her home.
When my sister-in-law Peggy pulled in her driveway, Joe, my husband and BJ, my son were already there waiting to pick up this puppy. It was a 2 hour drive for them, and 2 hours back home.
What a trip this little girl had from Ohio to Savannah, Georgia a 12 hour drive, then overnight in Savannah , 4 hours to Eatonton Georgia, and finally 2 hours to Kennesaw Georgia.
It is certainly understandable why Savannah hates getting into the car to go somewhere. She whines and cries the whole time she is in the car.
Basenjis may be barkless, but believe me they make up for it with whining, crying and screaming.

Bio: Mom thought I was so pretty and so perfect for my breed she took me to what she called school. First we went to obedience school. Then to handling classes. Yuck! But it made Mommy happy so she then took me to something called dog shows. I liked the shows cause I got to meet other Basenji's and lots and lots of other doggie friends. I liked walking around in the circle and the judges liked me too and gave me lots of pretty ribbons. Life was good and Mom was happy. But a year ago I went to a show and when I got home that night, I started to feel really bad. The next day I got really sick and my Mommy took me to the hospital for really sick pets. I saw some other dogs there that were sick too, that I has seen at that dog show. They didn't live long and I thought I was going to join them at Rainbow Bridge cause I was so sick too. But Mommy was crying so hard and I heard her praying, so I tried really hard to fight to live. I had something called IMHA and the Doctor gave me lots of shots to help save me, but Mommy said it was God's Gift. Mommy talked to doctors from all over (California and Australia) to get information to make me well. With the help of the doctors talking to each other and sending faxes to my doctors, and with the good food Mom had been feeding me I started feeling better. We even tried holistic and Allopathic Veterinary Medicine and even Chiropractic Medicine. Mom does not believe in letting any stone go unturned.
Because I was so sick Mom said, I didn't need to go to the dog shows anymore and that there was something more important and special I could do. You know to give back a little of the blessings that God gave to us. Mom was on her computer lots and looked and looked for something she called Therapy Dogs. Then one day I heard her talking to Daddy and she said she found IT! And, IT was in Dallas, Georgia. I couldn't wait to find out what IT was.
Well to my surprise IT was Dreamworkers. I have made lots of new friends and have lots of new things to do. Cat and Rhonda my teachers and Sasha (a cute doggy) have become my new friends. And I love to visit the people at the Nursing Home. They give me treats all the time too, it's lots of fun and I really like to visit all these people with my Mommy.
