But I've been enjoying life and doing lots of fun things over the past year!

Mom promised me she will help me update this diary more often.

This has been a very cold and snowy winter and I must confess I've turned into a first-class couch potato lately. Or "futon potato", in Chelsea's room, preferably with the electric blanket turned to "high" and either Chelsea or mommy on it too for me to snuggle with. It's been great because Chelsea has been home on semester break so I have been able to spend all day with her for a month now - I love her SOOO much!!!! Unfortunately she is just started classes again and is always running off in a hurry, to work or classes. But....she got a job at Petco! I love it when mommy brings me in to visit her! I get SO excited even if I just saw her at home!! Plus I always get a nice treat there!!!!

Mommy has begun to groom me herself and she says I stay very nice and still for her! She is just learning though, and she has made a few wierd oopsies, but she is getting better. I don't mind. Anything to keep her from dropping me off at the groomers! I want to be with her ALL the time and don't like when she leaves me there even for an hour!! I guess I am just afraid that she will miss me too much. : )

Well, talk to you soon!!!! Gotta go get back under the covers. Who says schnauzers can't hibernate?

It's finally warm out and spring is here!!
Mommy put up our screen tent to we can sit outside without getting bitten up by mosquitoes, and she also put out my little pool. I LOVE my little pool! I get in it all the time and have so much fun! Although Katama and Misty just use it as a giant water bowl when they get thirsty.
The big pool isn't ready to swim in yet but hopefully soon, because I love to get on the big blue raft with Mommy and float around!
Catch ya later, I have some frogs to look for!

I had an adventure.....

This morning mommy let us out in the back yard (fenced in) where we do our business, and the wind had blown over a big plant trellis so there was a little opening and I saw it and squeezed through! Mommy was only in her nightie and slippers. It was only 6 degrees with a minus 20 wind chill factor. She went running after me but I was under the deck eating something and I know I was naughty, but I did not come when she called me! She went back in and real quickly put her boots and coat on and came out the front door calling me and then I started to run across the yard to the woods! Mommy looked really panicky!! She let Katama my big furkid brother out loose too, and told him to "go get Pumpkin", and when I saw him, I ran right back to be with him, and we both ran to the front step and Mom let us in.

Mom says thank goodness for Katama because I ALWAYS follow my big brother around!

She says, how come such a sweet wonderful dog simply can't be taught to come when she calls me?
