Arrival Story:
We went to Mendocino CA, for our 15th wedding anniversary and the Mendocino Human Society had set up in the field by the shops and I had to go see the dogs. They were handing out dogs for people to walk and they handed Lucky to me. Well, I fell in love with him and we adopted him. The people at the Humane Society even let us pick him up on Sunday when they were closed. When we got home my son saw us get out of the car with a strange dog and ask whose dog was that and I said "Yours" It was love at first site - A boy and his dog. My son was 14 at the time and I felt getting him a 7 or 8 yr old dog was perfect, because when it was time for him to move out the dog would be gone by them and he would not have to figure out what to do with his dog. 8 years later Lucky is going strong.....
