Arrival Story:
After a 2 year search looking for a dog of top herding lines I found Tex's breeder via Aussie Times as she advertised they were planning a litter. After several emails we were put on the list for a puppy. We flew him up from TX the day the Challenger exploded.

Bio:
Tex is the most loving and friendly dog I have ever had. He is not a great watch dog as he loves people. But he is what I wanted as a farm dog, cattle and sheep herder, we do 4H and obedience/agility with him and a great varmit dog. He is also an inspiration for my artwork. He is A+ in my book!

The upstart and I are getting along fine. He's finally getting it that the balls are mine and he is to chase ME, not get the ball.

He is kinda' funny though. I learned he doesn't want to jump the fence. So I got him really going chasing me with the ball and I jump the fence and he runs around and then I just hop back over it and he has to run around again! I just popped over the fence when he got to me and he'd run around. What a dummy. Who is the smart one? Mom almost fell over laughing.

I will admit though, it is fun having someone to sneak off with to go check out those darn cows. We can get them going pretty good much to Mom and Dad's dismay.

Sinced Ty has moved in now I have to sit at the door to come in and go out. How BORING is that? I'm not the bad dog, why do I have to do it?

I do like having a playmate though and as long as he remembers his place we will do fine.

They are SSSSOOOOOOOO annoying! He doesn't know how to do anything and I get so very tired of doing as I am asked only to have to wait for old pokey!

Then Mom gave us a chicken wing and he sat on the other side of the door and tried to LICK it to death! Doesn't he know he's suppose to eat it? I told Mom to let me in there and I'd show him how! I had a wing and neck down before he even bit into his.

I think he is getting spoiled. Mom did lock him up in the jail though and then everything was back to normal. I checked on him just because I was hoping he'd disappear but nope, he was still there.

The best part was when we went to town. I love to go for a car ride and it was so nice to leave the pest behind. I did feel bad though when he barked. He is still scared...scaredy cat!

Woof!

And I can't decide if I am happy about it or not. He is ok, a bit wild and immature. He doesn't like balls or toys and could care less about the cows. Hmmm, what kind of Aussie is he?

Mom says give him some time to adjust. He is a big pest. Dad seems to like him. Mom is wondering what she got herself into (she worries about me). I think the little punk needs to be pinned down and shown who is the boss of this farm!

Mom may put him in the crate for a few nights to be sure all goes ok at night. She said she is stressed out enough without worrying what we are up to.

He is kind of dumb though. He doesn't even know his name! Mom called him and he doesn't even look so she may change his name to Ty. She says Skylar is too hard to say fast. Plus it is a sissy name.

Mom likes Ty Pennington so I think because he is cute and obnoxious that is why she is leaning towards that.
