I looked at shelters, pounds, rescues but none of the dogs seemed right for us. I did tons of research on the net on how to find the right best friend. My son wanted a German Shepard so we looked on a rescues web site for a shepard. Thats when we saw Sammy. My son wanted her right then and there. I talked to the woman that ran it and set up visit dates. It was love at first sight! She was playful and friendly. She rolled over so we could pet her belly. The rest is history. My mommy and human brother signed me up for doggie classes. They want me to learn manners. I have learned a lot and so has my mommy. I can heel, stay, sit, and lay down. My mommy and teacher said I was doing terrific. It helps me remember what I'm supposed to do when my mommy gives me steak and chicken for training treats. I think there's something in steak that jogs my memory, maybe ginko biloba. One thing I have to work on is eyeballin other dogs at class. My teacher says it makes the other dogs cranky but I just like knowing what everyone's up to. I want to learn even more tricks so we are gonna take another class. My mommy says I'm a fast learner!
