Four months with my new family.

It is hard to believe that I have lived with my family for four months, it seems like longer. I am now able to sleep with my cage door open, but moms bedroom door is shut so I can' t run around the house in the middle of the night. A few weeks ago I graduated a beginners obedience class. It was so much fun. I am getting over a slight skin infection (no idea how I got it). The vet had me on antibiotics. Mom is starting to switch my food, from pedigree to some all natural stuff that does not have corn in it. Mom thinks that I might be allergic to products with corn and most dog food has corn as the main ingredient. I had a bad cough for awhile and ever since mom started giving me some canned food mixed with dry, my cough has gone away.

Wow one month has past.

Wow, a lot has happened since my last entry. I have been in m new home for a month now. Chrismas was so much fun, I got to open a present, it was a squeaky toy, of course. Mom signed us up for an obedience class the other day and we will be starting in one week. I have gained a few pounds which is good because when I first came home I was underweight. I have finally learned how to ask to go outside when I need to. This has been a great first month.

Another day

Last night I learned a trick. I can stand on my hind legs on command. Mommy says that I am a genius. We got about two more inches of snow today. I love snow and it makes Jessie kind of frisky too. Mommy wants to take me for a walk and I am not sure what thats means yet, but it sounds very good. Mommy is also talking about joining an obedience class with me and then she wants to start agility training, which sounds fun.

My first few days.

Hi, my name is Millie. I was brought to a new home on monday and I love my new mommy. I love to follow her around, it kind of bothers her sometimes, but I now she loves me. Here is what happened on my first five days.

Monday: at 10AM mommy came with her mom and my sister Jessie, and got me. I was then introduced to the cat, Katie. I had a few accidents in the house, but mom was understanding. Moms best human friend, Kathleen, came over and helped her get me through my first night. She is very nice. They slept in the living room where my crate was. I also met moms boyfriend, I like him too.

Tuesday: I am starting to adjust to my new life, but I don't want mommy to leave me. I am getting used to having a big yard to run around in and having a cat to chase. Itried Peanut Butter for the first time and boy was it good. I learned a new command "wait" I didn't sleep much that night, I was lonely. Mom was in her room and grandma, grandpa, Jessie, and katie were all in G&G's room. I was in my crate in the laundry room. I don't like being alone. Mom has Larengitis (sorry about the spelling) so her voice is a lot deeper today.

Wednesday: Jessie was cranky with me that day, she isn't used to having something so hyper around her. I had only one accident in the house. Mommy put my crate in her room and I slept the whole night. I learned three new commands: "Go to bed," "Bring it," and "Drop it" Mommy bought me two new toys and yes they both squeek. Mom was wrapping Christmas presents today and I have no idea what they are for, but I guess I will have to wait and see.

Thursday: I jumped the fence into our nieghbors yard, grandma wasn't very happy with me. Mom is talking about getting an invisible fence to keep me from jumping it again. I am now housebroken. "knock on wood" mom says.

Today: I am finally adjusted to home life. Jessie and I get along really well, but she gets tired really fast so I am leaarning how to calm down around her when she gets tired. Mommy's voice is slowly coming back to normal. There has been talk of this thing called "Christmas," whatever that is. mom says I will find out in eleven days. I am sad now because Mommy has to go to work now, which means I have to go to bed, but it won't be for very long, Grandma will be home soon.
