Arrival Story:
aAfriend of my Moms found me very skinny running down a busy road & picked me up. As soon as Mom saw me she knew she would take me home, I was about 2 months old & had been on the streets for a couple of weeks & was very dirty. Mom kept me that weekend & then on Monday I was really sick, so Mom took me to the vets (I was already scheduled for my baby shots). The Doc. tested me for stuff and I had full blown Parvoe, a very bad decease. Mom cried, but could not pay for the doggie hospital, but opted to take a week off of work to tend to me. Mom gave me Pedialite and mushy food every hour, on the sleep for my new Mom. It took awhile but I started eating on my own & when I did, Mom was jumping & laughing & crying, too. Mom nursed me back to health & tested me again & I was free of any Parvoe. Now Mom says that I am her little Angel.

I saw my first snow.!!!!!!!!!!! I was a little scared at first....all that white cold stuff. I did'nt want to get outta the truck.
My Grandpaw passed away in January & Mom & Dad went up to his place to take care of stuff. We were at Grandpaws house for 2 weeks. We all miss Grandpaw very much. I was'nt sure if this might be a new furever home for me & my humans & Tank ( my buddy) ,'cause we were there for soooo long. There was 5 feet of snow when we got there & we got four more feet over just a coulpe of days! When we got there, we had to carry our bags and stuff about 100 feet to the house thru 5 feet of snow. Mom was saying that she was gonna attach a sled to me w/ all of our stuff on it so I could pull it to the house.....tee hee. She was just messin' w/ me.
When I stopped being afraid of the snow, my Daddy took me for a really long walk thru the woods. I was running & jumping in the snow. I kept sinking but always managed to surface. I was chasing snow balls that Mom was throwing for me......I had a blast.
We were sad to go 'cause we miss Grandpaw soooo much, but had to get home to Tank & Oreo. Tank & Oreo were so happy to see us. Tank and I ran all over the yard just happy to see each other!!!!!!!!!!!!
We took a second trip to Grandpaws a few weeks later & Tank got to come. We will put his story on his page.....he LOVED the snow. BTYL Salt Water Taffy
